    Catholics Apologize for Burning Harry Potter Books

    Book burnings here in Freehold have always been an enjoyable, well attended and successful community event. It gives everyone a chance to meet their neighbors and participate in a festive affair that is doing the Work of the Lord.

    Not only do we celebrate the burning of Harry Potter books, but we particularly enjoy burning books by noted atheists like Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens. We also welcome burning Democrat campaign materials like posters and bumper stickers (those Che Guevara posters go really well with some added accelerant - and the rounds of applause are inspiring). Some might complain about all the released CO2, but we all know it's plant food that contributes to the greening of the earth (call it the Landover Baptist "Green New Deal").

    Just when you thought there might be some hope for the cathylicks, we now see they are as spineless as they ever were - apologizing for burning Satan's evil works.

    Polish priest apologizes for burning of ‘Harry Potter’ books
    Associated Press | Wednesday, April 3, 2019 11:36 a.m.

    WARSAW, Poland — A priest in northern Poland who led a public burning of books that included titles from the “Harry Potter” series and other items parishioners wanted destroyed has apologized, saying the ritual was not intended to condemn specific authors, religions or social groups.

    The Rev. Rafal Jarosiewicz called the burning of objects thought to be connected to magic and the occult, and deemed by their owners to be an evil force, “unfortunate.” He published the apology late Tuesday on the Facebook page of a foundation he founded.
    Jarosiewicz and other priests have drawn criticism for burning books, Buddhist figurines, an African mask, and other items Sunday outside a Catholic church in the city of Gdansk. They said they encouraged parishioners to bring in things that disturbed them so the priests could do away with bad influences.

    Jarosiewicz was fined by city guards. An anti-smog group also contacted prosecutors about the illegal burning of waste in an open fire.

    Images from the burning at the Parish of Our Lady Mother of the Church and St. Catherine of Sweden were posted on the SMS z Nieba (SMS from Heaven) foundation, which uses unconventional means to carry out religious work across Poland.

    In the pictures, flames are consuming an African wooden mask, a small Buddhist figure, figurines of elephants and books on personality, magic and from J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” series. Some Catholic faithful and priests think the “Harry Potter” books promote sorcery.

    The book-burning attracted attention as Poland’s influential Catholic Church is grappling with revelations about the scale of child sex abuse allegedly committed by pedophile priests.

    . . . .

    Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
    brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
    ...and get off my lawn

    This is shameful, coming from a country like Poland that many Christians in Europe sees as a role model, considering that they voted Jesus as their King and have a great devotion toward Pope Saint John Paul II.

      Those RCs should apologize for apologizing. Just when it seemed like they were doing something to benefit the Kingdom of Heaven, then they backtrack and say they're sorry for striking at Satan! When I had book-burnings, we couldn't wait to hear the screams from the demons as the books and ouija boards hit the flames. But, I suppose this news item is not surprising, considering that they are RC, after all. And we will be hearing a lot more of them, what with Easter coming up and how they will be parading to church and putting on a big show to please their men in frocks and showy bonnets.

        Remind me, how many altar boys does a Catholic have to have sodomized in order to get canonized? Pope John Paul Ringo George or whatever his name was was King of the Catholics for 26 years, his victim count must've gotten into the thousands.
        I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
        Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
        But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
        From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

          That is a good question, Brother, and while I cannot tell you the exact number of victims a priest needs to be canonized, I can attest that boy-raping is indeed one of the requirements to be considered for sainthood.
