  • Preparing for Carnival

Hello American Lutherans, i'm here to share you part of the culture of Italy. This time i'll present you the holiday of Carnival. I'm pretty sure you've heard of this word once. The word originally meant "carne levare" (remove meat) and i can tell you that for the past weeks i spent my days fasting and doing other pious things in the name of Christ. All to prepare myself to attend the celebrations that will be held before Easter. Now, let's talk about the holiday itself.

If we can describe Carnival in some words, some would call it a "Winter Halloween with no dark stuff". And effectively, during the week of Carnival you'll see alot of people dressed like real and fictional characters. However, it will depend on the town you're visiting, since some cities have traditional dresses with masks, like the ones of Venice.

And one of the famous masks is named Arlecchino (Harlequin in English). He is a prankster and he is the symbol of the week:

But peoples are not the only ones who parades for Carnival. In some of the Carnival traditions, peoples makes tanks and parades them around the streets (like the ones you would see in some Holiday, such as the pagan Thanksgiving). Here is a beautiful example of a Carnival tank:

And of course, its not an holiday withouth food. In fact, we have a lot of eating during this week. The most common "candies" that every tradition of Carnival in Italy has are the Chiacchere (Blabbling in English):

And with that i've showed you all that you need to know about our Carnival. Of course i'm pretty sure that you have your own version as well. I'm very sorry that your Church doesn't allow you celebrate it.

    Grazie per l'attenzione e arrivederci.

Don't be "sorry" Landover Baptist does not allow debauchery. We will see an eternity in heaven instead where those of your ilk are headed.

A time of festivities here at Landover Baptist is when Pastor Zeke preaches a powerful sermon. We celebrate by knowing that the sinners he named will suffer.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Christians don't get involved with pagan holidays and no one is surprised to hear that Italians dress up like women and get drunk in the streets. These papish ceremonies do nothing what so ever to further the work of God. Rather, they are likely to attract His wrath. Why do you think the Lord sends Earthquakes, Libyans and communists among the Italians? I'll tell you-...God is angry with the wicked every day. Psalm 7:11.
God judgeth the righteous, And God is angry with the wicked every day- Psalm 7:11

I wouldn’t expect anything less from a country that hosts the headquarters of the demonic cathyolic church. I feel unclean just thinking about them. I must pray now...
        Yours in Christ,

Most countries have parades when they win wars. But Italy has never won a war so instead they have this.

It's not all bad, they've produced at least one item that will be useful when Brother Trump finally gets his military parade:

            Re: Preparing for Carnival

Of course Carnival was much more...interesting...than today's snowflakey triggered-happy disneyfed wimps believe. Same with Halloween, there used to be a lot more stuff getting smashed than just pumpkins. Civil law was suspended once a year, the authorities used to understand that humans are going to human, now and then they need to let off some steam, sow some wild oats and "get some things out of their system". We've put a lot of thought into what it would be like to bring those traditions back.

Not that I would know anything about that. Me? Things? In my system? My system is squeakly clean. No space for things. Squeaky.

Just listen to the music from that time: turns out it's possible to write some real melodies and "hooks" without millennial whoops*.

If Hunter Biden was laundering money to put on this production, then all is forgiven: "Der Graf von Luxemburg" duo, act 2

            * Millennial whoops: the chosen music of people who accuse Melania Trump of plagerism:

#forevertrump: Supporter of The Donald as president-for-life! #MAGAlomaniac!

Thank you for informing us about the horrible sins committed in Italy during Carnival. The immorality of the Catholic sect is spilling over from almost every image you provided.

And one of the famous masks is named Arlecchino (Harlequin in English). He is a prankster and he is the symbol of the week:
Most importantly, he is a pagan deity known as Trickster.

But peoples are not the only ones who parades for Carnival. In some of the Carnival traditions, peoples makes tanks and parades them around the streets (like the ones you would see in some Holiday, such as the pagan Thanksgiving). Here is a beautiful example of a Carnival tank:

Thank you for showing us the Catholic worship of the devil. Although, a word of warning would be wise - impressionable children and delicate young ladies visit this forum!

The most common "candies" that every tradition of Carnival in Italy has are the Chiacchere (Blabbling in English):

I believe the correct English translation is Angel Wings. My Grandma used to make these, and now you are officially guilty of making me look up the recipe. If I gain weight, that's entirely on you, Romeo!

And with that i've showed you all that you need to know about our Carnival.
Indeed, now we know all we need to know about it: Carnival is a good representation of what Catholicism is all about: opulence, pagan deities, and devil worship.

I am praying for you, Romeo. It would be a shame for such a nice man like you to burn in for eternity!
God created fossils to test our faith.
