KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Roman Catholic bishop of Kansas City-St. Joseph, Robert Finn, and the diocese he leads have been indicted by a county grand jury on a charge of failure to report suspected child abuse in the case of a priest who had been accused of taking lewd photographs of young girls.

The indictment is the first ever of a Catholic bishop in the 25 years since the scandal over sexual abuse by priests first became public in the United States.

I wonder how may fish-hat-wearers have gotten away with it all these years. I also wonder when prosecutors will catch up with His Unholiness Pope Bennieandthejets.

Are you implying that the Catholic Church is an organisation riddled with [conventionally] sexually repressed rampant kiddie fiddlers?

Are you suggesting that it is an organisation that closes ranks to protect its members indiscreet enough to fall under suspicion by outsiders?

Are you suggesting that the hierarchy knows full well this is going on and tacitly encourages it from the top down to protect the organisation foremost at the expense of thousands of individual children?

Are you even suggesting that the desire to use children as sexual playthings is institutionalised to such an extent as to be part of the very reason why people desire to be Catholic priests in the first place, having been indoctrinated into a circle of pedophilia from an early age?

Well Father Flanagan certainly had his favourite choirboys who had extra practice when the rest of us went home and one of those is now studying to be a priest. Not that means anything, of course...

The Catholic cult has had its own way for so long and twisted scripture so much that they seem incapable of realising that the game is up and that True Christians can see through them. The way they take what bits of scripture they have left intact and mould it to their own political ends and make up other stuff that sounds vaguely Biblical when it doesn't suit them and justify it all as being the will of God by pretending their Pope can actually listen to God is sickening.

Well I was very surprised by this story and to be fair I believe it to be totally out of character and it is NOT the kind of thing that catholics get up to.

No, in general papists prefer to rape young boys.
