  • Christopher Columbus=MYTH

As you may know, Columbus Day is coming up soon. So....why does this "national holiday" exist? Why do we have a whole day set aside for THIS guy out of all people? Well, that's a question left to be answered.

Today, I will be talking about the earth. No, not the round spinny earth that most people think it is. I'm talking about the real earth, the flat one. Now you may be thinking
"But the earth is round. Christopher Columbus sailed around it, remember?
Yes, but we have no proof tha Christopher Columbus actually did this. We do, however, have proof that the earth is Flat and has Four Corners (read Revelation 7:1)
Christopher was born in Italy http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=84884
So clearly, there was something wrong with him from the beginning. One day, he all of the sudden had the idea to DIRECTLY mock God's teachings. He set out to sail around the earth and prove it wasn't flat.

So, he tried to find a shortcut to India for trading by sailing west, toward America, where an itallyin had no business going near. He sailed and wound up near earth's end.

Of course, Chris didn't want to go back home just to be proven wrong, no. He made a cover up story.

He sailed down to India, took a few people on the boat with him, and dropped them off in the USA. So if anyone wanted proof that he found a new route, he could just take them to the United States, show them the Indians, and have them go on their way. And that's where native "americans" come from.

Of course, that's just a theory, but we still know that the earth is flat.
God is about as real as unicorns and dragons.
    Revelation 12:9
    Job 39:9

Nope. It was Ferdinand Magellan. Columbus was wrong in his calculations and we know that. By "we" I mean the ones who went to school, or were homeschooled. Even the atheists.

As for Magellan, well, here is an explanation:

1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the TRUMP of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.

I was once methodist and went to a public school as a child, where I learned some true things (like math) and false things (like science) Once I became a Christian, I knew that anything that was said to be the opposite in the Bible wasn't true. For some things, like certain historical facts (or lies in this case) I didn't know if they were true or not. My teacher said that Christopher was trying to find a different trade route to India by sailing around the world. The Bible never said otherwise, so I sail with that (pun intended)

Thank you for that educational video, Mr Unbridgeable. Basic stuff indeed, and the young man's heavy London gangsta accent is difficult to understand, but nevertheless one of the clearest and simplest explanations I've seen.

          Re: Christopher Columbus=MYTH

Some time ago I saw an old news report about some even older Viking maps presented to the world under the auspices of Yale University. The maps were terribly controversial because they indicated that the Leaf Ericksomebody had encountered the western continents centuries before Columbus.

Oh, the fuss and bother! One Italian-American gentleman was so put out by the very suggestion that Columbus had been one-upped by this Leaf fellow that he declared that no son of his would EVER attend Yale.

Never mind the factuality of the map, he was offended that Yale had even brought it to light. Really, why would anybody get so emotionally worked up about some nonsense claims in the first place?

Why do people bring such intensity to discussions about things that are so fantastic? Columbus and his implausible journey are lost to the winds of time. Who cares? Did he or did he not carry off slaves and bring back syphilis? Who cares? The Bible says that slavery is okay as long as it is managed in a biblical way and the wages of sin is death.

People need to focus on the here and now and not some glorified fanciful past. The Holy Spirit is here now in the world, opening our minds to treasured, timeless wisdom delivered through chosen prophets directly from the Mind of God. This world here as we know it is immaterial and only eternity really matters.

Put your passions into what counts, people! Will it be Columbus and his crazy claims, or Jesus and His Divine works?

This is correct, Sister. However, let's not forget that long before the unwashed Vikings arrived to the New World, the lost tribes of Israel were the first ones to colonize it. I mean, how else could we possibly explain the presence of people there by the time the Vikings arrived?
(Obviously, the studies showing genetic relationships with the Asian/Siberian rather than Middle Eastern populations are completely false).

Do you know that there are many Native Americans who insist that they came directly from America? They believe that they come from no where else but this country.

It's not so shocking that they ignore or twist science to support their claims; I would expect nothing less of unbelievers. But they expect their origin story to be honored with no regard for the One True Claim about the creation of the world and the races that the Lord God established upon it.

And that is exactly the problem. These people are so blinded by their false religion, that they cannot even accept scientific (linguistic, archaeological, genetic) evidence, and are completely deaf to the Greatest Evidence of them all, the Holy Bible.
