I think Jesus knew His comming would start wars and stuff: it would have been better if peace had continued, but He knew that humans would fight over who is right and wrong for millenia to come.

If Jesus knew that his coming would just lead to problems, why did He bother? More to the point, why could He have not proclaimed His presence in such a clear and unambiguous fashion that all could understand His glory, and then live in peace and harmony together forever? Make no mistake friend, if religious wars happen, it's because He wants them to.

For example, Jesus said: "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy." Yahweh in the Old Testament commanded to mercy against a conquered people. Anyone see a condtradiction here? And that is why I believe Jesus to be an acceptable role model.

Do you know which Testament it is where God/Jesus makes it clear that the vast majority of everyone who ever lived will not make it into Heaven, but will instead perish in eternal Hellfire? Do you know which Testament it is where God/Jesus admits to deliberately deceiving sinners to confuse them and send them to Hell?

It is a flawed translation.. Based on misunderstanding of the Hebrew letters YHVH, found in corrupted (ie jewish) versions of the OT.
This isn't found in the only TRUE Bible, The Holy KJV1611 (which was dictated by God to King James scribes in 1611), neither is "Yahwew".
(Or "jehova", as in "jehova's witnesses", yet another misinterpretation based on corrupted scripture.)

The situation is disturbing, but it's only a very partial agreement. Reincarnation is crap. Crap. As for life after death, God is not lying about it. God cannot lie. God exists, certainly, but not in the rather literal way that some seem to think. In primitive times when man was bewildered by so much of what went on about him, the concept of God or Gods as powerful beings who controlled the elements and human affairs was understandable, even reasonable. But for modern man such silly notions are unnecessary. God can be defined as a verbal construct that men use to describe good, just as Satan or satanic are verbal constructs that men use to describe evil. But the big-man-up-there-in-the-sky type God serves little purpose for sophisticated modern man.
