I was pleased to read noted Biblical scholar, Rev. John Piper, agrees God routinely slaughters women and children without a second thought.

This kind of brutal turth is not preached at liberal and sin-filled churches. It is a truth we at LBC have a monopoly on.

We have people coming on this forum from time to time arguing that God is some easy justification for go-soft-on-me theology.

Don't count on it.

When I read such a stout fellow such as he say:

"So God is God! He rules and governs everything. And everything he does is just and right and good. God owes us nothing"

It makes me think that maybe, just maybe the messge of the Bible (KJV 1166) is finally filtering through

The reason God so mercilessly slaughters the innocent with such flagrant abandon throughout the Old Testament and Revelation is because of His Divine Nature. You see, God can't help but wreak justice upon the world, because He is perfect. If He didn't kill the innocent bystanders along with those who disobeyed Him, He would be no better than human authorities who discriminate between evildoers and good citizens. God is superior to human authorities, and must act incomprehensibly and in ways that run counter to our intuitions about good taste and morality.

When God kills children it may not always be obvious why He has done it but it is always for the best and according to His plan.

Lets imagine alternative situations.

Situation 1,

An young atheist teacher Damian Dawkins turns up to teach a class of young Christian children. Over the next few months he starts to poison their young minds with thoughts of Darwin, evolution and free thought. Because of this young Tommy, Sammy and Claire turn against God and themselves become atheists. After they die they burn in hell in everlasting torment and all because they met Damian.


Situation 2,

Baby Damian Dawkins is born but God has smited him with cancer when he was still in the womb. He dies when he is three weeks old. Years later Tommy, Sammy and Claire are taught by Paul instead who is a God fearing Christian. When they die they spend eternity by the side of Jesus.


When God kills children only He know what they would have been capable of as adults.

Job 36:5 he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

That gentleman has such a clear grasp on the way our Lord works that I felt it necessary to quote him here. As most of you know, many of our lazier atheist visitors do not bother to click the links we so generously add to our posts.

It's right for God to slaughter women and children anytime he pleases. God gives life and he takes life. Everybody who dies, dies because God wills that they die.

God is taking life every day. He will take 50,000 lives today. Life is in God's hand. God decides when your last heartbeat will be, and whether it ends through cancer or a bullet wound. God governs.

What a Just God we serve! He doesn't have to be merciful, but He is! Why, just the other day I was sharing the story of Moses and the Midianites:

My sons instantly recognized God's provision for those who do as they are commanded by Him. My daughters instantly recognized God's mercy towards the virgin girls. Rather than be killed as would be just and right, they were offered to become brides of God's favorite people! My children know the importance of doing what God commands, regardless of what it may sound like to our human intelligence, because to do as He commands is to gain His favor and who doesn't want to be counted among His favorite?

On what are you basing this judgment? God is the source of all moral authority, so who are you to judge Him?

Clearly, if God rips open pregnant women, it is a just act. Not a "harsh" act. If you disagree with God, then you are wrong.
