"But where is the lamb?" Five loving words about sacrificing children and pets.

It makes me mad when I read that the Bible advocates bad things. When children and pets were sacrificed, it was for God. How can anyone criticize doing things for God?

'But where is the lamb?' I am not sure that there are five more terrifying, or pathetic, words in the Bible.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

I completely agree, anything done in the name of the ONE TRUE God cannot be bad .

      This is true.

If everything is predestined, then I'm sure plenty of kids were born to be sacrificed.

I mean, gosh. Not all kids are adorable and sweet. Some are bad seeds from the moment of conception.

You, too, could become a True Christian™ and live without sin like those of us here. I can already tell why you have not crossed the line into our wonderful world of eternity in heaven.

It is ego. You will not be humble before God like us. Just too much me, me, me.

Would you like to have personal correspondence with Pastor Zeke? Most of us here were saved by him.

No not ego, I frequently donate to charities(yes even a few baptist ones too). I'll read abit more before I make a final decision . For now I am just going to continue to sip my martini and read some more of your posts . Even if you think it is my ego you should be able to say I am a tad more polite than some of the peopls I have seen here.

I would agree, we're not always polite. Why should we suffer fools? If people are not willing to read and belive the Bible, our patience runs thin.

We are sometimes blunt because people need to hear the truth.

Is quite simple, if people don't want to hear your "truth", then this is what they will get from you

So the world must convert and be "True Christians ©" or they will perish, isn't it? They must abandon their own faith, their culture, their families and their happiness to serve a God they don't even know to make happy people who they don't know neither. Women mus abandon their jobs and getting married with men who don't love them and who don't want wives but maids, they must have 10000000000 children to be "saved". Welcome to the happy and senseless life of a Landover member

It's not to make people happy, dear, it's to prevent a righteous consequence for sin (Romans 6:23).

The True Christian™ need not worry. God will replace everything lost, just like He did for Job (Job 42:12-13; Matthew 19:29)

Landover Baptist Church didn't make the rules, dear. We're just sharing them in Christian Charity.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

I appreciate it so much, Sister E, that you brought up the story of Job. That story is about how God replaced the money, wife and children Job had before God killed them to make His point. The story of Job helps enrich the message of this thread.

God has, as they would say in sports, a deep bench. When he kills for whatever reason serves his purpose, he has the ability to replace. He doesn't always, but He can.

It is only people who do not understand God that make the mistake of calling him cruel.

The story of Job is one of my favorite Bible stories. In fact, this is the story that made me really think about our LORD, and that was my first step towards Salvation.

At all times, we have to follow God's will, even if that includes sacrificing our own children, or other stuff like killing heathen babies (they're such sinners) or opening stomachs of pregnant women (Hosea 13:16). God knows why He commands such things, and we have to obey at all time.
God created fossils to test our faith.

What a hateful thing to say. There is no way a woman could have 10000000000 children.

Just how many women have gone insane trying to reach the standards you set?

Why do you hate women? I could understand if you hated someone who was despicable such as evil Michael Jackson but insisting that women have 10000000000 children is NOT biblical and just too much.

                            Too much.

                            God bless.

Ugh, I don't know if you're stupid or just try to piss me off, it was an exaggeration, an hyperbole, I used 100000000 as an hyperbolic number, to represent my affirmation that you want women to have many children, like five, ten or a little more. Hyperboles are not to be taken literally, you only must understand the idea behind one. God, don't you even know the speech figures? You always say women are stupid, but you just confirmed that ignorance is a choice, not a matter of gender
