    The Temperature of Hell

Someone asked me today "How hot is Hell?"

If anyone asks you that question, here is the answer:

Revelations 21:8: But the fearful and unbelieving … shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone. A lake of molten brimstone means that its temperature must be below the boiling point, which is 832.28°F - above that point it would be a vapor, not a lake.

An interesting point is that for something to have such a precise temperature, it must exist.

I'm guessing that you could go a bit higher than that because who doesn't want some vaporized brimstone to inhale?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Texas is a Christian state - I prefer to see it as 10 x the temperature in Californication - particularly Sin Francisco.

I apologize for offending you, Brother Bathfire. I know that God has bestowed pretty much the perfect climate on Texas, every day of the year. I was just trying to compare the temperature of the Lake of Fire to something I could relate to, and I've never been to California because of Proverbs 4:14-19.

Beef is hard to get to everyone's liking. That's why I cook a lot of pork. You can't overcook pork.

For the benefit of those unsaved trash in other undeveloped nations of the world that might not readily grasp the import of the temperature of Hell, I've summarized conversions into other unapproved temperature scales.

                832.28° F (Fahrenheit)

                444.6° C (Celsius)

                717.75° K (Kelvin)

                1291.95° R (Rankine)
                Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
                ...and get off my lawn

That's interesting - Kelvin is almost as hot as Fahrenheit.

I've noticed that when witnessing to heathen types camping in the mountains how difficult it is to get water hot enough to make tea. No doubt the same would apply if boiling brimstone.

That is quite high up. Would the situation be reversed at lower levels, as it were at negative altitudes?

                          Re: The Temperature of Hell

That's an indirectly interesting point Miss Lizalor as it leads directly to another discovery!

The temperature of boiling water was established at 212 degrees F by Command of God. If your water boils at any other temperature, it has demons in it or is some different sort of water, or your thermometer is wrong, or, being a woman, you can't read a thermometer.

However, your misguided "knowledge" does allow the question is "How far below the earth is Hell?" to be answered.

We know from experiments done at Mount Horeb* that the temperature falls by 2deg. Fahrenheit for every 1,000 foot in altitude.

If we assume that the temperature on earth is 80 deg F, and we know that the temperature in Hell is 832.28 degrees, then this gives a difference of 752 degrees.

This will then equate to Hell being 376,140 feet, or 71.23864 miles, below us. (I think this is the first time that this precise figure has been published and this may entitle me to another Doctorate from Landover University!)

                          * Ex:3:1: Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

Why don't you read the Bible and find out what Satan's true role in Hell is? Protip: having half a clue of what your talking about helps keep you from looking really stupid.
