Sounds like this "slow motion" gestation, maturation, and ageing means our antediluvian ancestors would have undergone a long, slow decline in health and vigour. Instead of years or decades, they would have endured perhaps four centuries of failing eyesight and hearing, aches and pains, incontinence and senility. Well, maybe just a century or two for the last ones.

Indeed, Brother Pim. That's probably why so many antediluvians turned against God, causing His righteous anger and giving Him the reason to wipe out all living things with the exception of few selected individuals among humans and animals.

One thing clear throughout the thread is just how much harm sin does and how it contaminated everything from the moment when God's Love was rejected.
