Well it is better to be a wanna be than someone who judges others because they hold a book in their hand. I mean really all you are doing is making law out of a weak little novel a bunch of different people wrote... I could do the same with a harry potter book, the only differences being it was only written by one person and it isn't as outdated

Interesting how you feel the word of God is a weak little book. This really does expose you for the ignorant beast that you are. I very much doubt that a novel written in man's hand could ever replace the Bible.

Your assumption that the Sun is more massive than the earth is based on a Innocent reading of the distance of the sun to the earth.

Yes, but if we wanted to introduce not only geocentrism, but flat Earth theory as well, it becomes increasingly difficult to prove your view and necessitates going beyond arguing about planetary mechanics to conspiracy theories about the space program.

If in fact the sun were a ball of coal 500 miles away, it would fail to account for a number of phenomena associated with the sun, namely: neutrino emission, solar flaring, and short-wavelength electromagnetic emissions.

If we assume that the Earth is in fact spherical, or that the sun is in fact fusion driven, it might be less difficult, but at the diameter being suggested, there would be insufficent gravity to actually cause a fusion reaction.
