Son, you will find here at Landover Baptist that we occasionally seem harsh, but that is for a good reason. All the LIEbrals in the schools have gone easy on the present generation, refusing to give anyone failing grades because it might harm their student's delicate little self-esteem. The results of this are quite obvious. It has produced youngsters with uncritical minds, willing to absorb only what is handed to them so they will eventually vote for the crybaby Demoncrats. It has also lead to the sin of pride, more colloquially known as arrogant, obnoxious, self-absorbed little brats who will eventually grow up to be insufferable adults. Once again someone handed you one of those "simplified" charts that hide what is really going on and leaves out information that Al Gore inconveniently left out of his presentation.

1. Using the following chart for energy absorption bands, demonstrate your understanding of "degradation of energy" by answering the following questions (the first line to the left on the chart is O3 - Ozone).



a. Correct your description of the role and function of ozone.

b. The chart lists several atmospheric greenhouse gasses. Which one of them absorbs the most energy?

c. Using any available source (open book question), what is the percentage contribution to global warming for each gas?

d. What would the temperature of the earth be without an atmosphere?

Oh yea of little faith, rejecting the Bible (KJV1611) without ever reading it, and then placing your faith in so-called "science", without ever reading and understanding it as well. You might as well just kneel down and accept Al Gore as you lord and savior right now.

The first graph was taken from Wallace & Hobbs (John M. Wallace and Peter V. Hobbs) book "Atmospheric Science", which you will find has been the definitive book on the subject for over 30 years and is now in its second edition (and you will also find it in the curriculum of many college level courses).

The second graph is for your interpretation and it is not necessary for you to know the source (this is a test question - although it is widely available on the Internet).
