I'll agree with you there, but your original post is still wrong. You have no right to argue against me when you're WRONG
To save time here I recommend that you not argue with Rev. Jim, he means well. He is a recovering LSD addict, and occasionally his brain chemistry will spontaneously alter itself.

animals are animals, humans are humans.

I'll shure be following the rule to treat dolphins as "non-humans" because they are animals. duh.

Re: Scientists: dolphins should be treated as 'non-human persons'

When they say "non-human persons" they mean dolphins should have the rights that any person should have, even though they are non-human, it is true that dolphins are extraordinarily intelligent compared to most other fish, mammals, and any other animal you care to name. (Seconded only by humans) For instance, dolphins brain to body ratio, is ALSO seconded only by humans, dolphins have been known to communicate to each other when in experiments. (Very simple communication, like making different sounds for left and right, or in the wild they beat the living crap out of other animals for fun).
So dolphins may be stupid compared to us, but would you really kill a 3 year old child?
Of course, that's all assuming dolphins have souls, personally I think they are aware they exist, others don't, take your pick.

An interesting theological question, deeper, I suspect, than you thought.

As it happens Abraham was ready to sacrifice his son, Isaac, to The Lord Genesis 22:1-24 and Jephthah actually did make a human sacrifice to God, which God approved Judges 11:31 et sequa.

God also says we should eat our children if times get hard, DEU 28:53. A 3 year old would be quite tender I should imagine.

I thus think that your answer is, "Yes, if instructed by God or if it were part of a promise to God or times were hard."

Thank you for bringing this up.

Hey, people, dolphins are not humans. They belong in the ocean.

This guy is trying to steal a dolphin baby, is he going to bring it home to his wife try to raise it as their own?

Re: Scientists: dolphins should be treated as 'non-human persons'

                  I love dolphins...

… preferably grilled; just like any other fish.

                  http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1726,155188-245195,00.html

                  GRILLED DOLPHIN

1 1/4 lb. thickly sliced dolphin
                  8 cloves fresh garlic, minced
                  1/2 c. olive oil
                  1/2 tsp. paprika
                  1/2 c. rice vinegar
                  Salt if desired
1/2 tsp. pepper, black lg. ground

Dinner for 4. Cut off any dark meat on dolphin. Marinate 4 even slices of dolphin in large bowl. All ingredients mixed for at least 6 hours. Grill 5-7 minutes on each side depending on thickness. Approximately 10 minutes total for 1 inch fillets. Baste with marinade mix while grilling.
Ask not what your Lord can do for you. Ask what you can do for your Lord.

This thread reminds me of a wonderful thread by the World Renowned, TRUE CHRISTIAN Scientist, Ezekiel Bathfire. It is about how dolphins disprove Satanic evilution.

Never am i going to believe that a damn fish is a person. And to all you liars out there who claims that they aren't fish, why do they look like fish then? I mean, they live in the sea, swims and has fins, what more obvious proof do you need? And if they aren't fish, then why did God give them fins and put them in the sea?
