  • Questions of evolution

    Hello fellow forum members.

I am a university biology student and have read through a few threads in your Creationism forum. I've encountered several misconspetions of scientific ideas, concerning also but not only the theory of evolution.

If you truly are here to discuss,
I'd be happy to answer any questions of the matter that you have,
as long as they're asked /one question at the time/, so that I can focus on the matter and answer clearly,

and as long as the conversation will stay clean and will not include curse words.

Why have you strayed so far from Jesus, friend?
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I haven't. I believe in the equality of all human beings, in the wonderful discoveries of the human mind and human progress, just like God intended.

        Yes you have.

        God does not.

Sir, why do you lie? Is it because you think you can hide from God's sight?

1 Timothy 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1 Timothy 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

God intended no such thing as you propose.

          Re: Questions of evolution

          I have a question and a remark.

Question: outline the evolution of the central nervous system.

Remark: even if you can answer, those people will not listen, they believe it is their duty to mistrust scientists. Only thing you can do is argue with mathematics. Even them they won't listen. Look at the "sun: a million miles away" topic and check what i did there (page 20 upwards) and they still claim i am wrong.

          enjoy

            Ezekiel,
            I'd be ever-so-interested:

If science is, as you call it, false babbling,
how come you use electricity, a pure work of science?
Would you not take medication when you are ill - also work of science?

do you obey the law of gravity, or is the law of gravity mentioned in the bible?

Please answer truthfully instead of blaming me of lies and hiding your words behind accusations.

Everything falls down, it’s natural, it requires no laws.

Oh thou of little faith! Counting is not mathematics; it's just a list of numbers.

I've seen it, of course. and I'm curious to know just how their thinking works. Who know? perhaps I'll learn something - I'm always happy to listen.

As for the nervous system, are you sure you'd like a full explanation right here, in this forum?

                          Re: Questions of evolution

I had collaborations in biological research facilities, doing the statistical analysis of neurite growth under application of different medical substances to an injured body part. Biology nowerdays is all about math.
But please let the topic starter prove the theroy of evolution in less than 25 words, if you can prove the existance of god in less than 25 words without reffering to the bible.

Hello Rev, a Therory by definition is something that is yet to be proved.
A science, for that matter, works with theories - such is the theory of gravity. I am certain you believe in the law of gravity. Can you prove it?
Would you please prove the exitance of God, too?

Your remark for Mark only shows that you know nothing of biology.

Yes i would love an explanation, so far i only have been involved in research on mice and rats, and small worms, so if you can outline the different stages the CNS evolved at (1,000,000,000y ago, 500,000,000y ago etc till today) on the example of the group of "Catarrhini" (monkeys) I would be glad to learn something. keep it shorth though XD.
