Dear God Mocker, imagine that there are two people on the supposed round world, one at each supposed pole. For the person at the top of the world, (the North Pole), gravity is pulling him down, towards the South Pole. But for the person at the South Pole, shouldn't gravity pull him down as well? What keeps our person at the South Pole from falling completely off the face of the "globe"?

And to paraphrase the flat earth society, have you ever imagined what keeps water on the surface of the earth - if the earth were round all the water would run off with nothing to keep it in place;

Regardless of which train of thought you follow, it covers over seventy-five percent of our planet's surface. And the atmosphere, also a fluid, covers the entire surface. The difference is why. True Christians know that the ocean is really just a large bowl, (with great sheets of ice around the edges to hold the ocean back), and the atmosphere is contained by a large dome, the backwards "round-Earth" way of thinking would have you believe that all those trillions of gallons of water and air just "stick" to the planet's surface.

Interesting theory. Shame two of your 'real' photos contain boats falling off the edge of the world. I guess God just didn't love them enough to bother to intelligently pull them back like he does for everyone else.

The fact alone that there has been an abundant lack of religious miracles since the invention of the video camera shows how ridiculous religion sounds to atheists. But hey, if you'd rather believe some ancient book and photoshopped photos rather than actual photos of a very round Earth from space taken by NASA, then be my guest. It's your loss of sanity.

Slightly convincing argument (despite ignoring the my points that were on topic) however I'm not convinced. It is going to take a lot more than a black guy telling me how God healed his blindness to convince this unsaved trash.

Sorry guys but we've been to the moon. We have satellites orbiting the planet. And I have not once seen the edge of the world. I think it is safe to say the world is very round, not flat. Even if God did make it.

You need only invite the LORD into your own life, and He will show you He is real!

Try this:

Read the Holy Bible (KJV, preferably) every day. Before you begin to read it, pray something like this:

"Dear LORD, I await Your Holy Presence. I await the Holy Spirit to speak to me. I will listen, LORD, I will keep mine eyes and mind open. I will look for Your answer in Your Holy Word. I am sincere in my request, LORD, that You would show me that You are Real.

In Christ's Holy Name I pray"

Be sincere, be genuine in your earnestness. Look for signs the LORD is trying to catch your attention, not just in your reading, but in your every day life.

Sigh. Chemotherapy has been proven to work. It saved my mum last year. I pity you if ever get cancer and refuse Chemotherapy treatment. And no, I am not a racist. Just an observation. Doesn't make him less of a person and I'm sure he is a very happy Christian.

You guys and you're so called 'science' baffles me. And whenever anyone questions it, instead of actual answers we get quotes from the Bible, "why do you hate Jesus?" or questions that deviate from the original topic.

OP and anyone else who thinks the world is flat:
I implore you, I think the world is round, because the human race has been up into space, landed on the moon, sent satellites up up into space, took photos with powerful telescopes and even sent a robot to Mars. The world is round simply because it is. We've seen it, taken pictures from space at all angles whilst satellites orbit round it. It is certainly round. Not flat. You're the first people I've ever heard of who think it is flat. There are some scientific theories to explain it that make sense as well. Not to mention, we'd have dug right through the world by now if it was flat.

Your argument that the world is flat, because a 3500 year old book, written in several languages by quite a lot of people over the course of over a millennia hints at it over several paragraphs. To try and re-enforce the fact, you post a picture of a city veering on the edge of the cliff as well as a few others of boats falling off waterfalls, claiming they're genuine photos of the edge of the world. Lemmie take this one...



I mean seriously? That is a "real" picture of the edge of the world? Do you really think that? I'd be terrified if I lived in one of them flats at the edge right there, I'd have think they'd have noticed the edge of the world before they planted a city on it. I mean, this intelligent pulling thing is a nice theory, very cute, but very flawed. How far does it work, does it effect and bend your eyesight so the edge of the world remains unseen? Because I think I'd notice it if I opened my curtains in that flat on a morning.

That aside, that picture is an advertisement for Century Travel, a travel agency. Not the edge of the world. The other pictures hold no credibility either. Stuff like that is easily photoshopped and I'm certain the bottom photo is from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Do not accuse me of hating on Jesus or your religion. Please do not deviate from the topic. I'm not trying to convince you, you guys have clearly made your mind up. I want you guys to convince me, that the world if flat and you are right. Because right now, your explanation has a lot of holes.

Friend, we cannot convince you because your heart is closed unto the Truth. This is why Faith is necessary.

I shall repeat.
Where is the solid proof that the world is flat? Especially since we have been up into space and had a look back down on the damn place? Only Mary has offered a reasonable answer, stating that I essentially need to have faith in God, but her answer was yet again more vague quotes from the Bible. When confronted with damning pictures taken from space that the world is round, which explanation do you think I'm going to take more seriously?

Maybe I should put this into a bit of perspective from my point of view. I see the world (very round) and I see how Religion is different all across the world. Not just different types of religion, but different types of them types, all offering different explanations on the world. Scientific study however, throughout the world remains consistent. And not only that, but scientific study pulls up more evidence than the Bible, which is essentially a very old book. Moving on from Bible quotes and pictures taken from movies, what else do you guys have? Very little it seems. Whereas Scientists and organisations such as NASA have been into space and taken lots of holiday snaps whilst in the process.

Oh well, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. At least we agree on something, I hate anal sex and trees too. And a big kudos to Mary for being the only polite member here. Everyone else, lighten up (and maybe grow up) a little, not everyone who disagrees with you hates Jesus. You're the only people in the world I have heard of who is adamant that the world is flat despite proof that it isn't. But maybe I should have more faith and maybe for this I'm going to burn in hell forever.
