I can prove it's not a theory with a very simple test. Go to your sink, drain the water. Towards the end, it should spin clockwise. Now call up a friend or find a member of this site that lives in the southern hemisphere and tell him to drain water. This person's water should drain counter clockwise, this is caused by the Coriolis Effect. There's one easy experiment (of many) to prove the world is spherical. This isn't a grand conspiracy cooked up by scientists... it will happen 100% of the time.

Well, I guess it was naive for me to assume that anything would have been conducted under lab conditions. Yes, you are right. I overestimated the impact of the effect, it is still achievable under lab conditions (i.e. no inluence of pipe shape, bowl shape, etc.) but you are right, you can't do it small scale 100%. However, I hope you had a chance to read that article you were so quick to reference. It might help your perception...

You could not even justify posting an artist's imptession of a spherical Earth from "space" - but you could denounce my equally false picture quite quickly. I don't need to read your link; I have done this "experiment" over 100 times, and the water swirls randomly. Obviously you have not done "the experiment" yourself.

I believe the world it flat.

I also tried my own experiment , i filled a washing up bowl full of water and held it upside down as it would be in Australia and sure enough as you say all the water fell out, i know the earth is flat its a certain.

i also forgot to mention i have tried the water down the plug hole test.

It was a kind of random result for me, but then the sink was not actually plumbed in to anything so it made a mess of the floor does that make any difference to the outcome?

Thank you for your explanation, I have sent a long email to Google to explain the problems with their supposed google earth system, its fundamentally flawed as it defiantly shows a globe when you zoom out and not a flat earth!!

How do these people get away with it?
