I don't get your point, you say the sun doesnt turn around the earth when that bible text suggests different. And even if the sun moved across the earth it would not explain timezones. The flat earth recieves light as long as the sun is moving across it's surface. The angle in which the light falls would not be small enough to cause night time in different places. It would only create a difference in temperature.

The Earth is stationary and the Sun moves across the firmament.

Time zones are just based on where the Sun is illumuinating.
Take a flashlight and go in a room. Aim the beam. You have a light spot and the rest of the room is dark. Move the flashlight. This is what the Sun does. Simple

You are operating under the assumption that the sun is much larger and further away. Read Pastor Billy-Reuben's sermon on that matter.

Move a flashlight across a piece of paper. It doesn't illuminate the entire thing all at once.

My Doctor in Calgary had a wonderful map of the earth that showed where the sun was shining and timezones across it. It was illuminated from behind, but the idea's the same.

I always wanted to get the same thing, I asked him where he got it, but he said it was a gift from his son. Just as well, it was probably very expensive.

Oh, and for you nay-sayers, it was flat.

If you'd compare the sun to a flashlight your theory would fit. Unfortunatly there's a tiny flaw. The light generated in a flashlight is sent out in a specific direction because of it's casing the light won't go to the sides. But as for the sun, it has no casing. Light is generated at every point of it's surface and sent to every direction. So if the sun was to move over the earth's surface like a flashlight over a piece of paper there would be no shadow because the light is not stopped at any point.

You seem to be unaware of how light and shadows work. You were probably busy making silly drawings while your teacher was explaining this to you.

However it is easy to learn how light and shadows work. Just put something between a light source and a surface and you will see a shadow.

However it is easy to learn how light and shadows work. Just put something between a light source and a surface and you will see a shadow.

Yes I know how shadows work, however I don't think you get my point.
As long as the sun is a round ball of light, the light it emits will go into all directions, and without any obstruction there is no possibility for any shadow to be formed.
In the moving picture posted by your friend the sun lights specific areas on the earth but, the sun is round hence the light goes in al directions and the entire surface of the earth is lit up. Try doing the same test as before with the flashlight but instead use a round lightbulb that has no obstruction between it and the piece of paper. You will see that the entire paper will be lit up, not just 1 part of it.

To actually know for sure that the earth is flat or round is use of mathemathics, you just need the distance between 2 places on earth and the angle of the sun of those 2 places at a specific time. By a very simple calculation, you can see that it forms a curve, and if you continue this curve you will end by a cricle.

OK then, why is the bible right?
It is written by humans, why are those humans more special than others? Had they a dream where the whole world was explained by God? Everyone has a freakish dream where they thought they saw a message, why were THEY right about everything before any form of technology and acces to limitless knowledge?

There is NOTHING from the Bible that is 100% sure that is from God, because it is written by human minds. No human has absolute knowledge and yet they kwew it all and put it in a book.

Because it is inspired by God: 2nd Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

No human has absolute knowledge

Which is why they needed God to write the Holy Bible.
