These experiments are kind of flawed:

1. This just proved to me that the Earth isn't spinning, it could be round and stationary.

2. I did this after walking across my carpet and the paper was stuck to the balloon by static! This just shows that the Australians would be statically stuck to the bottom of the Earth.

3. I went to the top of the highest building I could find, but my view was obscured by the clouds up there (Good thing God is omniscient and doesn't have this problem). Therefore I was only able to confirm that the Earth continues some ways past the edge of the water.

Besides the obvious Bible passages, are there some other experiments I can do with my friends to show the Earth is flat?

So true. If the earth were spherical and spinning, then we'd be levitating. Or worse, we'd be flung out into the sky. But we don't. And yet people from all corners of the world still follow this myth...

Yes, take a dinner plate and put food on it. Then take something spherical like a ball and put food on that. Which of the two objects results in your wife having to clean up food on the floor?

A spherically shaped earth is simply not able to sustain life. It would require a lot of wives to clean up a lot of mess.

This can be disproved very simply. Get a balloon and inflate it as big as possible. It will be a spherical shape. Now, take a piece of paper and try to rip, tear, or cut the tiniest speck of paper possible. This paper represents a human being, much smaller in mass to the balloon, which represents the Earth. Now try and place the small piece of paper to the underside of the balloon. What happens? It falls off!

That's right. Even though the balloon is so much bigger in mass, it cannot hold the tiny paper. So if the Earth was a sphere, no one could live below the equator because they would fall off. reason the piece of paper isn't stuck to the balloon (assuming there's no static) is that the paper is attracted to the Earth which has a far bigger gravitational pull than a balloon, also gravity is determined by mass not volume.

If that were true, we would all be dead, because the sun's gravity would have pulled us away from the earth and we'd all be burned up.

I forget who, but one of our TC ladies used a 16 lb bowling ball in the test and the paper still fell off! The idea that large objects create some magical gravity field is all nonsense. If that was the case, people would get sucked towards and stuck to large massive objects like the Empire State Building or the Great Pyramid.

Exactly.

You'd see fat people waking down the streets and paper out the trash can would come flying to them due to their large mass.
Skinny people would get stuck to busses.
Dirt would never be able to be dumped from giant dump, trucks.
The list of phenomena goes on and on.

But since the concept of mass=gravity hooey is just that, hooey, none of that happens.

Now intelligent Pulling, God holds things in their proper places. This is why leaves can blow in the wind, womens dress flutter. But cars stay put.

indeed the bible is his book. spoken from holy perfect voice to imperfect human ears. christianity as a whole has been used for years to control people...the catholic faith first. ALexander the Great used it to control the savages that his people conqured...halloween, christmas, 4th of july, thanksgiving, all fall on the pagan holidays of the sulstices (sp). im simply saying that though the message of christ is true, we as a race are imperfect, prone to defect, selfish, and not very nice alot of times. the book is over 2000 years old, it has been translated how many times? translated by our imperfect and selfish hands.

We are trying to be nice to Unsaved Trash by telling them about God and how he made the flat earth. If you are a Christian you would know the Bible tells us the earth is flat.

unsaved trash? is that how christ would view them? i understand that even tho i accepted christ as my savior that i am still not perfect and will not be untill my death, but trash?
