You wanted an explanation of how, when going around the world, you end up arriving to the same location you started. The reason is simple, you are traveling in a circle. The curve will be almost straight so it seems like a straight line.

And the fact that not only you can do this travel I told you from east to west, but you can also do it from north to south, with the same results, means that the earth is a "perfect" sphere. It quite makes things simple, don't you think?

Yes, it is called Antarctica. It's frozen to prevent water from falling off and cooling down Hell.

Check out a world map. Antarctica is a huge wasteland in the south of a stereotypical world map. If the earth were to be plain, its limits are a perimeter. The antactica would be the end of the world from its south... what about all the other places where you can "fall off"?

Anyway, does it mean that somewhere in the Antarctica there is a huge abyss where you can jump off the world?

Why would you want to jump of the edge of the earth. That would be silly, since you will die. The only people who have seen the edge, never came back so they must have died.

PS: discs have curves, how else would they have a circle shape.

Discs have curves, indeed, but they have curves around its edge. On its surface, a disc is completely flat. Just like a CD-ROM! If you slide your hand on the surface of a CD-ROM, you will notice it is completely flat (except for the hole in the middle, of course ) Now, our friend Cranky Old Man has said that we're not walking on a flat earth, but we're walking on a slightly curved earth, that for some reason makes you be able to walk on circles on it. Cranky Old Man was talking about walking around the curve of the earth, as in around. Like your CD example the disc spins around, or a record on a record player.

The flat earth is not hypothetical, it is fact. Like we have expalined many times in previous posts. Planes have not been to the edge of the earth.

If it were a fact, it would be accepted everywhere and not in small comunities like this one In outer world, the world that exists outside this community, the world of moderate christians who use their own brains instead of quoting a book that was written over two thousand years ago and has been rewritten many times and in many languages over all this time, most of the people acknowledge that the earth is spherical. I suppose you consider astronauts as heathen liars, but they do exist, and they have their own version of this history, as you have yours.

You have your own ideas and don't respect the ideas of other people. You're not open-minded and can't reason: the fact that it is written in Your Book makes it an absolute fact.

I don't have the intention of saving none of you from being close-minded. I just have the intention to have a bit of fun making you squeeze your rusted brains to answer me something that makes a bit of sense. You're not succeeding a lot on it

True Christians follow what is written in the Bible. It is the Word of God and is fact. Perhaps you should try reading it. You cannot just choose parts of the Bible to follow, otherwise God would be upset with you.

Astronauts are just actors employed by NASA to promote the false belief that people have been in space.

There are many Bible verses quoted in this thread that prove the earth is flat. You would find reading the whole thread educational.

The first post, is pretty interesting and has shown me an important lesson: the bible is not consistent. I'll tell you why.

And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Nice quote we have here. But we also have this other one:

Isaiah 40:22:
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

The earth is a disc. So it says Isaiah when he talks about the "circle of the earth", and
you all mentioned it before, it seems pretty standard for Baptist Christians. But the earth also has four corners, according to Revelation 7:1 How can a disc have corners? Isn't it a bit paradoxical?

How can you say the word "fact" talking about a text that contrariates itself? Let's see how you rebuke this one, it can be interesting

First of all it is important to realize that the Bible never contradicts itself as it is perfect. So if something seems contradicting it is always your mistake, never the Bible.

It will surprise no one that the answer to your dilemma is in the Holy Bible: Luke 18:27 "And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God."

So while you and me would not be able to create a circle with corners, God has no problems doing just that. Just like God could create a triangle with 4 sides if He wanted to.

Second experiment: Gravitational fields are not depending on the size of the balloon, they're depending on its weight.

Sorry, as an atheist I feel compelled to step in here and point out that you are wrong here. Wieght is a measurement of the strength of gravitational attraction between to masses. One mass, by itself, does not have anything such as "weight."

Please don't make us look bad by arguing about things you don't fully understand.
