Unfortunatly, these do not conform with the foolish 'logic' of atheistic 'scientists'. Such a thing would be required in order to prove to them that they are wrong in such a way they can understand it.

First, the 'jump' test. This would not convice those not already convinced because of the belief that inertia and gravity would keep you with Earth.

Second, the 'blow' test. This would not convince those not already convinced because the earth's gravitational pull is considered to be sufficient to overpower the gravitational pull of everything on it to the extent that, in terms of gravity, we add to the mass (and thus gravity) of earth.

Third, the 'get high' test. This also doesn't work because, as you are getting higher, the angle at which you could pick something up would increase. Thus, you would have to be incredibly high for it to take effect; the required height would probably be too much to afford for most of us, or would be otherwise obscured or limited (cloud cover or the sea would make it difficult).

I am just attempting to point out why this argument would only get a positive from believers; it would not be considered proof to unbelievers, which would be an obvious purpose for proof.

2. So the bigger the object the better the grip? Yet when I put the paper on a balloon, I had to blow hard. I put it on a toy ball, I had to slightly blow, I put it on a horse Jolly ball (big and hard) and it just fell off. There are other things explained throughout this thread that you didn't bother to read.

3. We've shown pictures taken from airplanes with a straight horizon.

Sorry, I don't normally take the time to read through 54 pages of threads. Let me extrapolate.

1. Wind resistance.

2. Not the bigger the object the better the grip; more mass = more gravity. Besides, the shred of paper = human and balloon = earth... not equivalent comparisons. Earth is not filled with air, and the shred of paper, no matter how small you can make it, probably would be much larger than a human in a scale model.

So what? Of course there are mountains silly and it is rare that someone can see over a mountaintop to see the other side when at the base of the mountain. Countries are big too. Gosh I cannot see even the next state from where I live, let alone another country! get a grip and see logic!!

The earth is flat, but that does not mean that it is like a piece of paper flat. IF you had bothered to look past your own irrational mindset and looked at some of the replies, you would see that Mistress Cookie gave a wonderful observation by showing the earth as being like a Pie, with a lattice or crumble top.

See, when it is explained properly, it all makes perfect sense.

It is very consistant actually. Like posted before, the earth's weight is 6,000,000,000,000 ,000,000,000,000 kilograms. You are comparing that to a ball that weighs 2 kilograms. The earth's weight gives it a gravitational pull of 9.81 m/s2. I would guess that ball has a gravitational pull of about 0.0000000000000000000000001 m/s2. Yet you still think you can compare the two. I'm sorry to resort to this, but you have to be freaking retarded to think that is actually a viable comparison.

Because we're far enough away to remain in orbit around it instead of being sucked into it. It's pretty basic stuff. Like satellites orbiting earth, they aren't pulled down to the planet because they are far enough away to escape the earths gravity. Same with the moon, it's a delicate balance. Except the moon is moving away at a very slow rate. And that is because of it's speed, mass and trajectory.

I won't pretend to know what you are talking about, but I am sure you are quite wrong. All this talk of "gravity" and "mass" is useless nonsense; take for example the silly notion that mass increases when approaching the speed of light. Now, if I rounded up a group of fatties and made them run very fast -- made them chase a sunbeam for instance -- they would lose weight, that is, they would lose mass! And if gravity existed, wouldn't light be attracted only to the morbidly obese? Wouldn't light curve around them, or perhaps be sucked up by them? Light is very lightweight, you see, weighs next to nothing. If gravity existed -- and if the earth were round -- then the world would be lit up constantly, i.e, no night for one side, day for the other. This would be due to the mass of the earth having so much gravity that it yanks the sun's light around itself, much like a very large person donning an enormous cloak.

So you see, mass and gravity are an absolute nonsense.
