I have a BBA and a BSc. so I think that's enough education to know bull hockeys when I see it. I take it you've never heard of the trade winds AKA the "jet stream". Yes it takes longer to travel one direction than the other because this wind helps speed your trip one way or the other.

You still dont get it so i will try to explain it to you. The higher in the air you go, The farther you can see around the curve of the earth. This means when you are standing on a building and you look at the horizon you see where the land and sky meet. Now get in a helicopter on the roof and go even higher in the air. The horizon is not the same, you can see farther. Go even higher. The horizon keeps changing and you can see farther around the curve of the earth. You don't believe in math so I wont try to prove it with angles. You will get to the point where you can see the entire shape of the earth.(which is the same shape no matter which angle you see because it's round) you won't be able to see behind it

I know you are only trying to question the way i worded that statement to lower my credibility.

Se our planet as an airplane, the air inside is the atmosphere and the air outside is the space. Try jumping inside the plane and nothing will happen, so it's not the speed that would make you fall off the car, it's the strong wind blowing you off.
