where F is the force, m is mass, and a is acceleration

Still wrong. Acceleration is the instantaneous rate of change of velocity, so a=dv/dt, and F=m(dv/dt) (if you don't understand the notation, wait until you take calculus).

Your formula, where a=v/t, is only applicable to the specific situations where initial or final velocity is 0 and can be neglected, and it also assumes that the acceleration is constant.

That being said, F=ma appears nowhere in any explanation of a Foucault pendulum that I've found. The wiki page gives as clear an explanation as any, so that is what I referenced for your elucidation. Please review it until you understand that material (or try using something that you actually do understand to try to convince others).
