There are countless methods in which you can partake in at home to confer that the Earth is indeed round.

Heard of astrology?

Look at the bloody moon.
Ever seen a sunset? The horizon perhaps? I take it youre not one for ships.
Varying star constelations?
Been on a plane perhaps? You can see the curvature of the earth. If it werent curved then you would be able to see obstacles such as mountain ranges and any other region of land on a higher elevation.

Buy a bloody telescope, look at Mars, Venus the sun. Whatever.

Timezones? A conspiracy innit?
Every space image ever taken. Do you wish to say that all these photos have been tampered with?

It never ceases to amaze me how many people get so outrageously angry about following simple Biblical truth. Why would God lie to us about Jesus being able to see the whole world from the top of an exceeding high mountain? What would be the point? These people would have it that the Bible (the perfect inerrant word of God) is just made up by a bunch of ignorant savages and has somehow become outdated.

Well here's a question for you sceptics. If the Bible is so outdated how come God isn't outdated and is still as perfect and amazing today as ever?

Now, my quote isnt from this thread but it still addresses the "flat world".

It takes 365 days for the sun to revolve around the earth.

So for the sun to revolve around the earth, the world would have to be round. You can not revolve around something flat and still be visible from one side at all times.

think of it this way: Look up, and swing a ball in a vertical circle

so you look at one plane

and the ball swings at another |

Together, ---|
with both lines extending in all directions

Plane one is what we see looking up, but we will compare it to the Earth.
Plane 2 is the ball, or the sun. We on the Earth can always see the sun (at least in America... in some countries no) so the world must be round.

Another question: If the world is flat, where is the edge? Show me on a map please. Dont just send me pictures from movies, or drawings like I have seen on this site.
Again, do not post drawings (like the one posted above by Jack), post an actual map of the world with the edges marked.
