An artificial satellite can circle the earth continuously and even be geostationary.

The earth appears as a disc on photographs taken from space, regardless of the vantage point.

Several of these arguments have alternative explanations by themselves. e.g. the shadow thrown by a lunar eclipse could be caused by a disk-shaped earth. Similarly the north-south movement of stars in the sky with travel could mean they are much closer to earth. However, the arguments strengthen each together.

The distance we want is the length of the green arc between the two people. (Not the line of sight)

The first step is to find out what the angle A is. (Actually we will need to know what 2A is...)

SO... at 6 feet tall you can see someone the same height more than 6 miles due to curvature of the earth!

Hey GodorNogod.

You seem to know something about physics, but you were wrong with couple of things.
Like the Coriolis effect. It's way too slow mechanism to have any measurable effect on the ball dropping scenario you described earlier.
And if you walk from the end of the bus towards the front at 3mph and the bus moves forward at 30mph, then yes your speed is 33.

And the Heliumball scenario i suggested WILL amaze anyone who tries it.

Your on earth so you have the same velocity and earth so when you jump the force cancels out, also if you drive a truck at 40 mph and throw a some thing off at 40 mph it will fall straight to the ground, which is what happens here.

Then answer this.
The same "Scientists" claim that earth is slowing down. That's why they've made up leap seconds.
The same "Scientists" claims that earth is millions of years old.

How fast was earth spinning back then?

They have to make up new silly theories all the time to cover the holes in the old silly theories.

In this case, every 100 years the day gets longer by about 1.4 milliseconds - that's 100-200 times faster than the blink of an eye. In the time of the dinosaurs (at least 65 million years ago) a day was 23 hours long. So the earth is not rapidly slowing down each day, but rather the change is so tiny over such a long period of time that not you, nor your grandchildren or even their grandchildren will actually notice the effects.

So the earth is not rapidly slowing down each day, but rather the change is so tiny over such a long period of time that not you, nor your grandchildren or even their grandchildren will actually notice the effects.

I think it's remarkable that "scientists" know how long a day was 65,000,000 years ago, when even by their own estimates mankind has only been around for 200,000 years.

Or are you suggesting that dinosaurs had timepieces capable of measuring time down to the millisecond?

It is interesting to note, brother, that the dinosaur fantasy which scientists have concocted does not consist of a race of beings which have advanced technology like the kind you suggested, and as one might expect from "scientists". No, the folklore of scientists consists only of rape and cannibalism.

Funny that scientists have rejected a beautiful truth, like the Gospel of Jesus, for a perverse lie such as that of the dinosaur. One can readily see why God invented Hell.

And you've measured this, right? You're not just taking plausible sounding magical mumbo jumbo as a smoke screen to hide the major whoppers they're telling you to also take on faith
