What are you talking about "some whacky decoder ring". All I am saying is directions is subjective to location. If you are facing west, you would have to turn "right" to head north but if you are facing east, you would have to turn "left". That is just one example of direction being subjective.

If you were floating in the heavens, which way would be east? Your analogy has failed. Yet, you maintain that these astrologers can make some mystical adjustment that no one else understands and know which way "up" or "West" is. I suppose that is where their magic decoding ring comes in?

Admit it, astrologers know nothing: "And let us never ever doubt, that which we know naught about" should be their motto.

Im going to wait for the other guy to respond because these points dont even warrant an argument and I hope there are some people on these forums that are intelligent enough to see that.

yes, this whole website reminds me of the nazi party and the Klu Klux Klan, if you take a look at the thread about blacks looking like apes, they acctually seem to hate them and think of them as "a lesser being"

Maybe I will have to go back and look at the first point but as far as I can tell, its faulty logic. The author doesn't understand that latitude goes from (the north down) +90 degrees to 0 degrees (at the equator) and down to -90 degrees at the south pole.

I just dont see your point. So what ifs the earth has been laid out in a grid by man. In most American cities the same can be said IE streets and avenues. What does that have to do with the earth being flat? If I stand in my front yard and face north to my left is west to my right is east and behind me is my female assistant and the south. I can look in all directions and see that the earth for the most part is flat. Sure there are mountains and valleys, that's call topography.

You just proved my point. If you were floating in the heavens, the direction east wouldn't exist, therefore

"directions is subjective to location."

Astronomers are not saying anything about east and west being definite and provable fixtures anywhere you are in the universe. They are simply using them as reference points so people can easily understand the concepts they are trying to convey.
