If you are so sure the earth is flat, get on a plane and go as HIGH as possible, if you actually DO go high enough you will clearly start to see the CURVATURE of the earth.

Relative to what exactly? If I'm on a truck, then I can feel it's moving. So if the earth moved, then I'd feel it too, the motions and everything. The only time we feel the earth move is when God punishes us with an earthquake.

Once more: the atmosphere moves with the Earth. Imagine that you're blowing bubbles. Inside each bubble is a bacteria colony (obviously, this example is not to scale). The bubble moves through the air/space, but the colony does not experience any wind moving through it. This is an identical situation to Earth(but of course is not to scale).

We have a minor misunderstanding: my claim rests on the assumption that a bigger earth with mass X will exert lower gravitational pull at its surface than a smaller earth with the same mass X.

This follows directly from the formula for gravity: the factor 'r' is the distance between the center of the earth and the center of mass of the objects on its surface. If you apply the radius of the earth and the total mass of the earth in that formula, you end up with the well-known downward acceleration of 9.81 meters per second per second.

Now, if we hypothetically increase the size of the earth without changing its mass, then the formula yields that the gravity as experienced by objects on its surface will decrease quadratically. This results from the 1 / r*r component.

With other words, if the earth's size would increase by a factor of two without changing mass, then the the gravity as we'd "feel" it would be 1/4.

This all of course under the assumption that a spherical earth model is true, which it isn't.

Listen, both myself and false christian realise that gravity follows the inverse square law and that it is the mass of the earth that causes it to have such a huge gravitational pull. The atmosphere does not move relative to us, hence the reason we are able to stand on the surface unaffected. It is accelleration that kills people not speed. Everythign on the earth is moving at the same constant speed and so we don't feel it. If, for example, the Earth had stopped along with the atmosphere and then suddenly started spinning at 1000s of mph then yes, the force applied against you by the still stationery air would knock you back as if the wind was travelling at that speed.

Everythign on the earth is moving at the same constant speed and so we don't feel it.

But then you can claim that the earth is moving at any arbitrary speed. After all, we don't feel it. Besides, it's all relative anyway.

Again, if we are on any moving object, we will know that we're moving. Stand on a truck with your eyes closed, for instance, and you can tell if the truck is moving or isn't. Additionally, a truck will have to stop sometimes so you'd feel the de-acceleration for sure. Same with the earth. You can't just keep moving in the same direction all the time without hitting something.

No speed does not kill. The googe hits are genreally talking about speeding in your car. Remember, you won't die from speeding in your car unless you hit a tree in which case you suddenly stop. This sudden stop is a very large negative accelleration hence the reason you die.

If you are on the back of the truck and you which is travelling at a smooth, constant motion and the air around you is moving with you then that is exactly what I am saying, you will not know it is moving. Travelling at 100mph at a constant rate will feel the same as being stationary. Provided it is a constant rate with no accelleration.

Here's a question for you! Scientists are always talking about the earth being round, and how the the oceans are curved! This is nonsense! If the ocean was curved, we would be flooded! Have you every tried pouring water over the curved surface of a ball? It doesn't stay in one place like oceans do, it goes everywhere.

Also, if the earth was curved, wouldn't say, a swimming pool's surface be curved as well? But it's not, a swimming pool is flat AND SO IS THE EARTH.

The reason water spills off a spherical ball is because the gravity of the earth pulls it to the ground and it spills everywhere. If the ball was heavy enough and you took it out in space where there was no other gravitational fields to interfer then yes, it would form a layer around the ball.

Swimming pools are not curved because you don't normally find a swimming pool that is 100os of miles long. The longest are about 100 metres and at this distance, of course it is going to be flat.

If you want proof that gravity exists then jump, notice how you fall back to the earth. What about the tides, they are caused by the gravity of the moon. Laboratory experiments have been done in which the force has been measured between two heavy objects.

As for the piece of scripture where God explains gravity, are you able to site a piece of scripture where God explains how televisions work or how cars work. Of course you can't but does that mean that cars and televisions don't work?? The bible has left some things for us to discover.
