He works His miracles by no known physical means: He is not evident in gravitation, the strong nuclear force, the weak nuclear force, or the electromagnetic force; nor is He composed of atoms, or of the mysterious dark matter that fills the universe.

As Aquinas noted, there is evidence in the world that God exists; contrary to Aquinas (who was a Catlick) I think there is no iron-clad scientific proof of God's existence. We may see God's great and miraculous Hand in the blooming of a daffodil, but we are open to this evidence only if our minds already dwell in faith.

And how is the getting of faith accomplished? Oddly enough, faith is contagious. One gets it from one's parents, one's teachers, one's leaders. That's why Christ tasked His apostles with spreading the faith, with prosyletizing and converting the unfaithful.

Faith in God is a way of thinking. It is not dependent on science. It is not dependent on logic. It is transformational: it is like a holy infection that lodges in the mind and changes the way one thinks.

This "holy infection" is belief in God. Once one really has it, evidence of God's existence is all around.

Now, I am not saying religion is literally a mind-sickness. I am not saying that Christianity is nothing but a mind-worm that spreads itself like a plague among susceptible humans, a plague that has spread down the centuries and across the continents. No, that is only a metaphor! A manner of speaking!

God is Truth, and the Truth shall change the way you think.

My guess is that if one measures one's self worth by how much of an annoying troll they are, they never really had much self worth to begin with. Or something like that.
