I Don't Have Enough Faith to Believe in the Periodic Table

Silly scientists have been making fun of Christians for years all because we are incapable of the wacky mental gymnastics it takes to believe the first human was born from a monkey.

I've debated some of the very best secular science has to offer on various internet forums, and the response I always get from them is "We simply cannot believe in something which we cannot see, hear, taste, touch or smell."

Today, I am firing back at all you scientists and atheists who criticize me for devoting my life to GOD, who just so chooses to remain invisible, silent and immaterial to you.

I would like to ask you why, if you are so unwilling to believe in what you cannot perceive, do you all flock religiously around one of the most iconic symbols of science: The Periodic Table.

I would like to ask you all how many of these elements you have seen, smelled, heard, touched or tasted.

The answer is none. Go ahead, show me a hydrogen "atom."

I have never seen any such silly thing, and neither have you.

We Christians believe in a Divine but invisible Trinity; 3 entities we cannot see. But Occam's razor proves you wrong when we find out that you don't believe in 3 invisible entities, but 117! That's One-Hundred and Seventeen invisible gods of science!

And you laugh at us for only believing in one GOD! (With three independent personalities.)

Sure, you can show me shiney yellow rocks and say it's "gold," but can you really PROVE it's gold? Who told you it was gold?

We have the Bible, GOD's word, to draw our arguments from authority. But yours come only from your fellow humans.

Why trust only what people have to say?

What did you expect? The Periodic table was invented by a RUSSIAN!. Did you expect some commie to get a true understanding of GOD's Universe?

Re: I Don't Have Enough Faith to Believe in the Periodic Table

The standard periodic table of elements is nothing but conjecture, hypothesizing, and imagination all rolled into one. Landover Baptist University and Pastor Bathfire have conducted research into the elements for years now and have come up with a REAL Table of Elements. This is what we need to be pressing school districts around the country in teaching our children. We need to burn the old science books and replace them with Biblically-sound scientific facts.

Why can't we see a lot of the elements that scientists lie about in the periodic table?

Apparently they emit no light and reflect no light aka being INVISIBLE!!! Oh suuuure. The burden of proof is on YOU, science boys.

Re: I Don't Have Enough Faith to Believe in the Periodic Table

And that's before we even get onto mentioning the source of this crazy idea.
The scientist... said that he had seen the table in a dream after several sleepless nights during which he tried to arrange the collected data into some clear pattern. “I had a clear picture in my mind, but couldn’t fit it into a table,” Dmitry Mendeleev said to his friend Ivan Lapshin, a philosopher who visited him in 1869 shortly before the discovery. During those days Mendeleev was reported to work without a wink of sleep for three days and three nights. He tried to fit the results of his analytical work into some pattern. Having reached the highest level of nervous exhaustion, he was compelled to lie down for a while, and fell asleep at once. “I saw a table, where the elements were arranged in perfect order. I woke up and put it down at once on a piece of paper. Only later I revised one point.”
He was sleep-deprived, then went to sleep and had a crazy dream... and that's the basis for this myth the scientists want us to accept? God knows how to deal with dreamers like Mendeleev:
Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Godly point Brother Temperance. Only some wack-o-loon listens to stuff that comes to them in some kind of altered mind state like when they are sleeping or starving because they haven't had anything to eat in weeks. Leave to the secularists to write down what ever some voice they heard when no one was around like it was the truth.

why don't you have enough faith? it changes when we find out more about it, it would be stupid to make a theory then never try to prove or improve it wouldn't it?

the periodic table has been conceived and the shape of an atom by rigorous testing and experementing of course it changes as we discover more about it wouldnt be scientific if it were absolutely right first time

what do you mean you cant see the elements? look at a pipe its copper
or did you mean you cant see the structure of an atom so you dont beleve in atoms? so you don't believe in electrons? so you don't believe in electricity?

so what do you propose everything is made of?

When scientists are discovering more facts and new properties of certain elements, they don't have to be wrong about what they knew before. They see if this new information is or isn't in conflict with wath they knew about the element, if this is in conflict, then they change the facts and knowledge about the element to understand it further.

this process has been done for decades, the periodic table is this result, nothing in that table is wrong. I have no faith in this table, because it doesn't need to, faith is needed when you want it although is presumably wrong. The periodic table shows only facts and properties of elements.

And about that pipe, please, the pipe is made of something, you know what metal, what kind of metal copper, what makes copper so special from other metals, you can see it back in the table, real scientists and other people with a little understanding can see that the atom (you can't deny that atoms exist or you deny everything what is build by mankind) is different from others and those little differences of the atom makes copper different from other metals.

And the same for other elements.

By the way, fire isn't an element, it's a form of energy released by a chemical reaction. And air (that consists of many sort of gasses) is just movement of those gas (and I mean like NO2, O2, CO2) molecules, no specific element, the same for your element earth.

So you would believe some Marxist scientist over the BIBLE (KJV)? You actually believe there is something called Dysprosium? It sounds to me something that you take medication for.
