Yes, light can be effected by gravity that is true but the sere amount of mass needed to make light make a 360° is almost impossible, even the sun who's 109 times large than the earth can only bend light by a couple degrees, a black hole could maybe bend is 10-20° and if the earth was anything like a black hole then whether the earth was flat or not would be the last of our problems.

I think this is the one thing that I don't like about this church.
You're telling everyone that this church follows the bible and the bible only which is a good thing, men corrupt and lie so it's a good thing that there should be no one telling you how to act or how you should read the book.
But along comes this one man and says that the earth is flat and all of you are willing to give up your knowledge maybe even your lives to defend this person.
It doesn't say anywhere in the bible that the earth is flat nor does all the scientific research that's been gathered so far.
The worst thing is that people doesn't use the bible as a "How to get into heaven" but more as the law and they use every loophole they can find like this whole "four corners of the Earth" and "to the ends of the earth" business that born again bob is talking about.

The point is I'm not gonna deny you your believes even the ignorant and compassionate onces but if you do so in a way that doesn't even make sense in your own logic then I have to step in.
Unless it says, black on white, in the king james bible "The earth is flat" or "God made the earth flat" or even "God said to Jesus/Moses "Jesus/Moses the earth is flat just as I intended it to be"" then you've have no reason to believe that the earth is flat.
Please post scripture to prove it.

Original heading relative to what? If the Earth is a disk with magnetic north in the center, and you are using a compass to maintain your heading, then you will end up back where you started even though you did not circumnavigate a sphere.

It is God that holds the Earth in place and us upon it. This was proven years ago by a gentleman named Peter Higgs of Edinburgh university. The God particle not only proves God's existence, it proves He holds our flat Earth in place and us upon it.

    PRAISE!

Some people are simply uneducated. It is that simple.

What does the lie of space exploration have to do with God? I never said that the goal of claiming to go to the moon had one thing to do with God.

    As for your so-called logic:

Has a dollar of government money ever been misappropriated?

Has the government ever engaged in covert operations?

Has anybody ever embezzled funds, for that matter?

Now that the money issue has been cleared up, upon what do you base your belief that people have been to the moon?

What you should be asking yourself is "Would people really spend that much money just to fool the world into becoming advocates of science?". Probably not.

And the painted lines on the belt-line around Raleigh are what keep me from ending up in Durham when I stay on 440. I made two points with my analogy, and both went straight over your head, Thunder Dog.

The first point was if you start moving and end up right back where you started, then you didn't travel in a straight line.

The other point was that the mere fact that you can travel around something doesn't prove that something is a sphere.

And Pastor Nereu Gargalo, you can't say that, because there are people who have walked on the Moon. If you yourself were to somehow do so as well, it would certainly quell your doubts. Unfortunately, I'm assuming you don't have the necessary qualifications to do such a thing (not to mention that there is not expedition planned for anytime soon). You can't prove that it's not real (physically, I'm not taking the Bible's word on this one), but we can prove that it is.
You can prove nothing. I have offered proof in the form of BIBLICAL TRUTH!

Everybody knows the moon walk was a conspiracy begun by that shambles of a President, JFK in order to hide his affairs with prostitute actresses.

    Psalm 8:3
    When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

    4. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

Fool. Satelites do not exist. Man never walked upon the moon. The moon is a flat disc in the sky that is moved from place to place by the will of God. You would have us believe that the Earth revolves around the sun and that the moon revolves around the Earth. It is simply untrue. Here, I provide PROOF!

    Joshua 10:13
And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

    AMEN!
