Nope, not that I'm afraid. The reason they're in a desert is because that area was once an ocean. And the probable reason that they died together was that they were probably migrating and attacked by Marine Predators all in one place. Not what you think it was.

It doesn't rain in deserts. The only way it was once an ocean is when God flooded the whole world. Do you not pay attention?

The Bible's not specific about that:

Genesis 8:1-3 "1 But God remembered Noah and all the beasts and all the cattle that were with him in the ark; and God caused a wind to pass over the earth, and the water subsided. 2 Also the fountains of the deep and the floodgates of the sky were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained; 3 and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of one hundred and fifty days the water decreased."

Took me all of 20 seconds to find that. You must know that Noah is in Genesis, so it might have taken you three minutes to skim through and locate it. Are you this lazy about everything?

The waters asswaged (Genesis 8:1), then the rain was restrained (Genesis 8:2), then they abated (Genesis 8:3), then they decreased (Genesis 8:5), and THEN the earth dried (Genesis 8:14).

You said the sea was just water. Go and drink it. See how you get on. It's not dried up fully in 6000 years. Do you think God's going to let it? No! So that extra water came from somewhere and God made it go away again. Nowadays God doesn't want the sea to dry up any more.

No, I'm saying that due to a mixture of the planet cooling, oceans rising and continental plates shifting, the desert had old oceanic crust underneath it. Also, this is to do with Whales. I know Whales breathe air, but that doesn't mean they would instantly die because of a flood. In fact, they would probably prosper quite a bit.

Those whales ended up in a desert when the flood drained away. What's wrong with you? I suppose in the magic made up time you scientists believe in the desert used to be a sea for millions of years but then all the water conveniently drained away to fit your story.
