  • The Soul in the Kidneys - Take Care!

I am often asked, "Mr Bathfire, Sir, what do you consider to be the important parts of the body for Salvation? Is it the heart? Jesus mentions the heart a lot."

My answer is always the same, "Well, I'll tell you straight, it isn't the brain - the brain gets no mention in the Bible (KJV1611) BUT you are half-right EXCEPT more is needed for Salvation.

Salvation will come as you are examined before the White Throne of God and, yes, Jesus will examine your heart but he will also search your kidneys for they too hold your soul."

The astounded neophyte questioner will then look amazed but that amazement then turns into delight as I reel off a few proofs:

I [Jesus] am he which searcheth the reins [kidneys] and hearts. Revelation 2:23

It is always possible that, by some means, you have a pure heart but when Jesus uses His Xray vision on your kidneys and he doesn't like what He finds, The Gates of Hell will swing wide and your eternal soul will be eternally burned, regenerated, burned, etc in the darkness of The Pit!

"But if there are two places for the soul, are there two souls?" I hear you ask.

And I reply, "No you idiot! The soul in the heart and the soul in the kidneys are one and the same! (Think of the obvious concept of The Trinity!) BUT the conscience part of you soul is in your kidneys.

I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. Pslam 16:7

It is possible to argue with yourself in the hopes of excusing an evil deed. Here you may find that, to you, your heart remains pure... but what of your conscience? Darkened and wizened kidneys will bear the scars for Jesus to see as evidence of evil intent!!!

The emotions of the soul are also there:
Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. Proverbs 23:16
Your soul has to have emotions, otherwise you would not suffer the deepest ever despair in Hell.

And the soul in the heart and the soul in the kidneys (which are one) work together to magnify The Almighty!

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins. Psalm 7:9
Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart. Psalm 26:2
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. Psalm 73:21
But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart. Jeremiah 11:20
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10
But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, and seest the reins and the heart. Jeremiah 20:12

Brother Bathfire, it is great news that we will still have our kidneys in Heaven!

I look forward to standing besides Jesus, peeing on the damned in Hell. Oh, how much joy will we have laughing at those filthy sinners!

Psalm 2:4 "He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision."

Mr. Bathfire, thank you for such a great post. I feel like I got a lesson in biology AND theology, all at the same time!

I'm going to incorporate this information in the home-schooling curriculum for my children.

Amen, Dr. Bathfire. I find it disturbing that modern abominations use the term "minds" instead of the correct term kidneys from the Greek word nephros. It is the same word in both the Alexandrian manuscripts as well as the Textus Receptus.

The Lord can even see into our kidneys. Though we don't understand the function of the kidneys, we can learn from the Word that they are the seat of our most inner thoughts.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

There is no end to my amazement at the wonders of God's Creation! I only lament that it takes scientists so long to "discover" what the Holy Bible has told us all along! Thank you, Mr. Bathfire, for simplifying this for the sake of us ladies who are not adept at comprehending such complex issues.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
