I have never run a red light. I have never broken the law, even once. How dare you make the assumption that just because you wallow in filth and degeneracy, the rest of us do too. Do you really believe that "all sins are equal" means that you can do anything you please, because somewhere, someone else is doing it too?

You have obviously never studied the Holy Bible. I had it memorized by the age of 5.

    Leviticus 19:15
In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.

    John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

    1 Corinthians 2:15
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1 Tim 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
As you can see, God commands us to judge unsaved scum such as yourself. I am here to tell you that God hates you for your sins and for your arrogant attitude.

Are you trying to say that just because God made it, we should smoke it? Or are you trying to say that "everything God created is good?" The Holy Bible disagrees.

    Proverbs 16:4
The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.

    Isaiah 45:7
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

    Joshua 23:15
Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things, until he have destroyed you from off this good land which the LORD your God hath given you.

Once again, I'm sure you have run a red light at some point. Also, I bet you have jaywalked as well. These are both against the law, that makes you a sinner!

All sins are equal in the eyes of the Lord so go ahead and . . .

hmm... not really my field of study but i got two questions for everyone on this forum...

          1. if "marijuana" was legal in all 50 states would you people be talking about this?
not trying to be rude or any of that, but after reading all the posts it seems that the only reason it is a sin in most eyes is because man made it against the law. so you smoke "marijuana" that is breaking the law so it is sin. very simple!

          2. why, once again not trying to step on toes of my holy brothers and sisters I am just curious, aren't we showing the people of the world that God is a God of love and not some guy sitting in the clouds with a baseball bat trying to punish all of the sinners on earth?
          1 Corinthians 13...

"If" questions are impossible to answer. "If wishes were fishes we'd all have some fried" my mother used to say.

God commands us to obey secular laws, so that is of course one concern. But there is also the moral consideration. Killing babies is legal too, but we oppose that law and practice because it violates the morality of the Holy Bible. Sticking narcotics into your brain seems like an easy way for satan to come in and take over.

You obviously don't know much about Christianity, do you? Please take a look at THIS thread, which will explain the basics of our church doctrine.

it is already de-criminalized in 21 states and legal in 5... it doesnt seem to be a posing politcal issue like gay marriage...
and im not too worried about old horn head to take me over... seems like he is already busy at work.
and yea actually i do know quite a bit about christianity i actually have my doctorate in Biblical Theology and both of my parents were preachers in our community church... so dont pretend you know me please.

under my profile name is very childish...
i actually am a practicing christian with many questions i thought might be answered here but i can definitely tell no answers here.
                  and a doped-up texas teen?
i am no where close to being a teen anymore, i have never done any type of "dope" therefore you sir are lying to yourself and everyone else on here. there is no need to slander people that have questions about God. (especially if you don't know ANYTHING about them)

                  * one smiley is enough, we have to pay for our bandwidth!*

the only thing i have seen here is not a love of Christ but a sick lust for his punishment and not Gods love..
you call people on here hypocrites, liars, slanderers, God haters, and more or less ignorant people. When you are the liar (such as above), the hypocrite (flailing around as if you were a Pharisee during the time of Jesus on earth. you speak of his judgment and punishment as if that were God in a nut shell. you are failing to realize that though Jesus is not on earth in a physical form, right now, but he is on earth as love.), a slanderer (you defile people and make them appear how ever your twisted mind wants them to appear), a God hater (if you do not show Gods love then you do not in fact practice Christianity or Gods message.), and with all of these things put together you sir are ignorant.

Can you provide ANY scripture to back that up?

He will come back, but I doubt it has much to do with "love".

                    Revelations 19:12
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
19:14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
19:16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
                    Psalm 81:10:
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt:
open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

haha no the bible contains no evidence that God is a loving God
                      God's Love and Ours

7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son[b] into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for[c] our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. 13We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen. 21And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Love, for the Day is Near

8Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9The commandments, "Do not commit adultery," "Do not murder," "Do not steal," "Do not covet,"[a] and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself."[b] 10Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 11And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.

                      1 Corinthians 13

                      Love

1If I speak in the tongues[a] of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames,[b] but have not love, I gain nothing. 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

wow i guess God is a God of love.... who knew?

                        Romans 2

                        God's Righteous Judgment

1You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge the other, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. 2Now we know that God's judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. 3So when you, a mere man, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God's judgment? 4Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance? 5But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. 6God "will give to each person according to what he has done."[a] 7To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. 8But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. 9There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; 10but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 11For God does not show favoritism.
12All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14(Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.

wow the bible even backs me up....

                        James 2

                        Favoritism Forbidden

1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. 2Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. 3If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet," 4have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? 5Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? 6But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong?
8If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself,"[a] you are doing right. 9But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"[b] also said, "Do not murder."[c] If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.
12Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, 13because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment!
                        Faith and Deeds

14What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
20You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]? 21Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23And the scripture was fulfilled that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,"[e] and he was called God's friend. 24You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.
25In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Re: Marijuana is God's Gift to Christianity!

Start using the real Bible, Mr. Fuzzy Bunny, salad bar "Christian" and maybe we'll talk. The NIV is a ridiculous parody of God's Word, the KJAV 1611. You might as well be quoting Readers Digest!

As for the rest of your posts, they are even more pathetic. Your grammar is atrocious, your ideas are vintage 1972, and your manners are not even worth mentioning. Why should we listen to someone so lazy that they cannot even be bothered to use their shift key?

Take your Jesus is Luv BS to someone who doesn't know any better. And by the way, isn't there some underage wanna-be hippy girl you could be harassing instead of annoying us with your touchy-feely version of Happy Time Jesus?

So why don't you put a sock in it Castaneda, we've had enough of your drugged up spiritualism for one day.

well looks like I'm damned. (oops forgot the shift key)
oh and you are right mister pilot man God has no love for us. we are merely his slaves that must destroy every evidence of anything or anyone that doesn't really enjoy getting beat up by big bad god! i mean who would ever think about instead of telling people that since you read a different version of the bible you will burn in hell the devil will rape you with his horns and big bad God will turn his back and mock us saying wow we are ignorant because we showed the world love. just like God showed when He sent His son (his only son) to earth to die. true act of love. but you are right God hates love, and we should all beat our selves so that we can be accepted by your god. (notice the shift key was not used for your god.)
AND JUST FOR THE RECORD AGAIN, IVE NEVER EVEN DONE DRUGS.
IT APPEARS TO ME that you might be the one on drugs thinking delusional thoughts about your god.

have fun living your life filled with pain, anguish, and hate.
im going to live my life with the love of God (the true God), happiness, and an unbearable grasp on the fact that you will never see God as i do.
thats alright though thats your life and im sure it will be fun too

                            p.s.
IM sorry FOR whatever YOUR god DID to YOU to MAKE you FEEL as IF your "god" HAS replaced the LOVE in his HEART with ANGER and PAIN.
and one last thing it seems to me that the debacle at hand is not really about me using the shift key its about God vs god
come on grow up a little bit!
