      Re: Checkmate, Atheists

The old "I'm a retard because my mom fell over" excuse just doesn't wash with me. In the course of 11 pregnancies, I have only ever toppled over three times - and then always within a day or two of giving birth to twins. It hasn't done any of them any harm. If anything, they are smarter than the others, though this may be a result of them working together as teams in order to outwit their siblings.

Of course, if mom fell over because she was an obese drunk, rather than a tiny woman who was just temporarily front-heavy, that might explain it.

As I recall, when my wife, Mrs. Hutchins was around, she fell quite a bit. I was never saw it but I'd heard she fell down the stairs head over heals, apparently (so the story goes) breaking bones. Tripped all the time walking from the dining room to the kitchen, falling face first into the door knob.
She did fall out of my car once but that was her own fault for not wearing the seat belt and opening the door on a mountain curve.

Never did it affect any of my boys. I am unaware if any of the females were damaged, but then again, how can you tell?

          Re: Checkmate, Atheists

This thread is so powerful, I wonder if there are any atheists left.

Think of all the people who have been praying for a vaccine to stop the Coronavirus. And, what do we have? A vaccine. God wanted to be sure these prayers were answered so He is giving us several vaccines.

If we had left the Coronavirus problem to atheists to solve, no vaccines. Who would they pray to, Hillary?? (HaHaHa)

My guess this atheist fad will fade away soon. People are realizing the truth of God and coming to their senses.

I was feeling a little miffed, after putting some effort into a welcoming post citing jj17za1's own Scripture reference and linking it into the thread topic, to be ignored.

Even in post #24 [immediately after my PICTURE with the WORDS ] not a mention.

Now I appreciate my thoughts were perhaps rash and will draw another comparison using Deuteronomy 4. Context is included in the links.

Noah's Ark and the Great Flood are discussed in detail in the Bible and are therefore Real®.

Plate tectonics is not mentioned in the Bible and refutes God's Word in commanding the firmament.

                      Genesis 1:6
And God said, Let there be a firmament is the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Therefore, it is a ploy instituted by Satan and should be dismissed out of hand.

His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

                        Re: Checkmate, Atheists

I hate to admit how many atheists there are in the Freehold Senior Center. They should live elsewhere but we are stuck with them. Every time I swing by there for coffee a few older ladies are waiting to argue.

But I have a new argument that stops them in their tracks. I say, "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."

For centuries, atheism has traded on this idea people can lead sin-filled live without consequences. They are always saying, "We only get one life, let's enjoy it." I've seen these ladies take small flasks of whisky out of their purses and pour it in their coffee.

We True Christians™ know atheists will suffer for eternity. We also know we at LBC will be rewarded for eternity. This is reality proven by those whose hearts stopped, were technically dead and came back reporting heavenly music and visions. Eternal and blissful life is guaranteed in the Bible. So is punishment in hell for atheists. They need to hear this.

So, I simply must ask--where did you get the idea that God created the earth? Were you taught this idea in a science classroom or did this concept come from the Bible?

If I may play Atheist Advocate for a moment [shudder] how can you believe in a God who created the earth using plate tectonics when the Bible never mentions any such mechanics of that nature? (Wait a minute, that's confusing. I don't need to assume the thought process of an atheist, I can just think like a True Christian™. Whew! much better.)

The Bible clearly states that God is never changing. He is Who He always has been and will ever be. His Word is specifically described as never changing.

Regarding the earth--the only major change that it underwent since the time of God's Creation is the Flood. We know this because the Bible tells us this. No other changes in land mass distribution are ever recorded, discussed or posited in the Bible.

Soooo, if you believe that God exists--as told in the Bible--and that He created the world--as told in the Bible--why would you believe in some weird "mutable earth" theory that the Bible never told us about?

If plate tectonics really were a thing that God made use of, don't you think that He would have told us about it in the Bible? Why would He keep something like that from us? It's not like God wants to keep us in the dark.

                                Psalms 119:105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path

See how nice God is to provide us with light so that we can walk without stumbling? So why are you stumbling into non-Biblical ideas?

It just doesn't make sense for God to create this world and give us His Word to explain this world and then leave out such a big chunk of information in His explanation. That's assuming plate tectonics were real and God used them. . .Which He didn't, since they aren't mentioned in the Bible where God also tells us that He exists.

I hope that clears matters up for you.
