I have been trying to convince the locals of that little fact for the last 7 years, and they must be the two most confused peoples on earth.

A typical conversation goes like this:

Me: "You do know Belgium doesn't exist, right?"
Them: "What are you talking about you stupid American, of COURSE Belgium exists!!!"

So the moment I turn my back they go:

Them: "Belgium is an artificial country! Sire, there are no Belgians! Long live Flanders. Long live Wallonia. Belgium does not exist!"

Me: "But that's what I was saying, right? "
Them: "You stupid godfag, Belgium does exist! That way we can make it stop existing!"

I'm sorry, but these people are crazy.

You speak of talking to locals, of regions called Flanders and Wallonia. So what you're saying that Belgium does not exist, but Flanders and Wallonia doe exist? So, the non-existing discussion is a political discussion and has nothing to do with what the Bible says or does not say about Belgium?

Flanders is part of Germany and Wallonia is part of France. Which part of "Belgium does not exist" are you not getting!?

And Flemish is a dialect of Dutch, not of German.

Look friend, speaking as a TRUE Christian(tm) (as in Baptists, Republican) it takes a bit more for someone to write something down in a book to make it true.

And what are you saying here? The whole Christian faith is based on what "someone" wrote down in "a book".

Belgium has been considered as non existent by some because it does not appear in the Bible. Then by the same reasoning I can ask those to point out the USA in the Bible. Whether you believe Flemish people speak Dutch in stead of German or not, does not really matter here.

The only points I have read here against the existence of Belgium are political ones made by Sir Wide-Open. Political ones!

I am saying your are using an argument from authority, like most secularist. Just because some book like an atlas or the consensus of the scientific community or what ever says it is true, your seclarists belive it.

This is nothing like The Bible. The Bible is written by God (using human beings as pens. )

Belgians are of the caucasian race as well (as they are West-Europeans, tracing back to the Roman empire, known as the Gauls and identified by Juleus Caesar).

Of course there is an American Race (as in white, Baptist Republican). It's the others who want take our great country away from us.

Again, an argument from authority. But if you read your Gaulic Wars you would know the Belgae were a Celtic tribe, not a race.
