Swiss voters are going to the polls to decide on a proposal to ban the building of minarets in their country.
The proposal is backed by the Swiss People's Party, the largest party in parliament, and by Christian groups.
They say minarets would be the first sign of the Islamisation of Switzerland.

The proposal is for a one-line addition to the Swiss constitution, stating that the construction of minarets is forbidden.
Supporters of a ban claim allowing minarets would represent the growth of an ideology and a legal system - Sharia law - which are incompatible with Swiss democracy.

Member of parliament Oskar Freysinger rejects the charge of discrimination.
"I have a real problem with Islam, with the Islamic law, with the political and legal aspect of this religion."

Why can't we do it if the Swiss can?

Projections from exit polls suggest that voters in Switzerland have backed a referendum proposal to ban the building of minarets.

I mentioned this result to Nephew Zebulun when he called round. He remarked that it was as well that the injuns didn’t have the same vote about churches when our ancestors arrived in America.

Of course, I told him that this was being obtuse! The Pilgrim Fathers, etc., came here to spread the word of Christ’s Glory. It is well-known that churches were simply built to house the multitudes and protect them from the weather. Their merry bells simply sounded the call from their spires and this was completely different from having some sore-throated sandnigra wail jihad in a Christian land.

But more good news: due to the success of the Swiss referendum, the Belgian party "Vlaams Belang" (obviously after a LOT of lobbying from my part), the only party to really defend Christian Values®, now proposes to do the same over here!

ahemm.. Remarkable enough, the Mooselimbs don't even try to tack their minarets onto their pagan templtry, when they build their hideous temples inside the US. They know better than to even try, and the issue never comes up -- with (thankfully!) our glorious American cityscapes not being marred by the offense of demonic spires.. I'll let you connect the dots as you will, 'cause I'm just sayin' the Mooselimbs know their place over here. (Now, if we could only get the Mormons to toe the line.)

I don't trust those Minarets because they look more like Missiles to me. Who is to say terrorists won't come over here, smuggling SCUD missiles and erecting them at mosques, masquerading them as minarets? What will we say when all of Dallas, TX is leveled by a 2-ton nuclear warhead? That we were afraid of not being seen as politically correct?

Looking back on this momentous decision, the day when the fires of liberty burned at their brightest in a small country, it is historically of little surprise that the Swiss should have reacted in this correct way. We cannot forget that Switzerland gave freedom to the open-minded John Calvin and the underestimated, Heinrich Bullinger to break from the oppression of the tyrant, the Anti-Christ, the vicar of Rome.

I am hopeful and pray that this subjection of Islam to the righteous judgment of Godly men will spread like the Black Death across Europe, Australia, and the USA.

Perhaps I should consider Switzerland more than just a tax evasion avoidance banking system.

As one of the few european Christians left in this world, I´m rather proud that the Swiss, a small country surrounded by eurabian nations, supports America in the fight against terror, intolerance and multiculturalism.

The good Christian people of the Swiss told the islamofascists: "No Paseran!" (You won´t come thru.)
I still think the Swiss is the most important beachhead for the US in the fight against the muslim takeover. The danger is crowing: first, they take Bruxelles, then they take Berlin...

But there are three minor facts that can´t be ignored:

1. while in the end 57% of the total voters in Switzerland supported the ban, in the french speaking cantons (states), only 30% voted for the law.

As always, catholics never miss a chance to spit into the face of Christ.

3. While the ban is a step in the right direction, it is yet incomplete.

Minarets are banned, but the construction of brothels, booze halls,
casinos, catholic cathedrals and synagogues is still legal. Please write a letter to the Swiss embassy and inform him about these flaws.

I hate to go against the tide of all the True Christians here but I like the idea of these minarets.

They could have one way turnstiles and when a minaret is full, have the floor open and let all the evil mooslimes fall down an abandoned coal shaft. It would also help reduce the carbon footprint and over population by heathen regions.

Maybe we are missing a golden opportunity here. The Swiss, in their tv ad campaign pointed out that those minarets looked like missiles. Maybe God-fearing Christians could offer to build minarets for the Mooslim temples but they would actually be missiles like the one NASA crashed into the moon. Get those minaret-missiles loaded up with Mooslims and fire them at the moon!
