The comment about Padre Pio is false. He really had what is known as the stigmata. Some people that despised him falsely accused him of putting carbolic acid on himself to get those wounds instead of it being the stigmata. It was later verified by the Catholic Church that he indeed had the stigmata, so whatever you've heard about him putting the carbolic acid on himself, it's false.
And all of that is based on what? The Bible? No, some guys in dresses with funny hats in Rome.

Why don't you trust Jesus? If He exists, He's probably pretty sad about it.

Wow, Sister! Just - er - wow! How can they believe this rubbish? It makes me glad that I was not raised a Fenian.

Yeah, according to the cracker-crunchers she went to Heaven around, oh, 1950. I bet she was putting out a powerful odor by then!

Yours in Christ (NOT EASY-BAKE OVEN MARY),

As the dictionary says, once you bring the "religious" bit into it, there is no difference.

So no response to Mrs. E's pointing out the PRAYERS TO MARY?

Allow me to revisit one of them:

Prayer to Mary, Our Lady of Walsingham

O Mary, recall the solemn moment when Jesus,
your divine Son, dying on the Cross,
confided us to your maternal care.
You are our Mother, we desire ever to remain your devout children.
Let us therefore feel the effects of your powerful intercession with Jesus Christ.
make your Name again glorious in the shrine once renowned throughout England by your visits, favours, and many miracles.
Pray, O holy Mother of God, for the conversion of England, restoration of the sick, consolation for the afflicted, repentance of sinners, peace to the departed.
O blessed Mary, Mother of God, our Lady of Walsingham, intercede for us.
    Amen.
Now why don't you go and check your Bible to see what it says about Mary's "intercession" with Jesus? Or what it says about her being immortal? Or what it says about her also being immaculately conceived? Or what it says about her rising to Heaven?

Makes no difference in the end, as either way they are "so stupid".

They can't be taking her too seriously though, if they talk about "her" and "she" without capital letters.

Either way, all Mary worshipers are on their way to .
