Not one of the poll choices, but "Religion of Self" immediately comes to mind. So many folks I've met call themselves "spiritual, but not religious," but when asked what makes them spiritual, the answers are such gobbledygook as "I meditate," "I see the spirituality in nature/my children, my body, others, blah blah blah."

Islam is pretty vile, but you have to give them credit: no religion in recent history has come up with more barbaric methods of torture and killing. Aside from that, Muslims are indeed worthless. Spiritually and intellectually they are so full of crap that they have to wear diapers on their heads. But if you've ever seen their beheading videos, wow, it's impressive. These guys make it look as easy as slaughtering a chicken.

I really think that the worst are the Wicca's and other earth worshiping, other god worshiping people.
There are MAIN LINE Churches which espouse Wicca and Pagan teachings as if they are from the Bible.

I agree! They have invented their religion only recently, while ours has been on Earth for 2000 years. I mean, they cannot be believable just because of that: how short lived their religion is.

I am so glad that I am part of a Church and have a Pastor who preaches from the Bible. Man, I never knew what I was missing.

I know, right?! There are so many churches out there that teach a misguided, whitewashed, non-Bible based version of Christianity, according to which God is some kind of a peace loving hippie. They simply ignore the Bible which clearly shows that God is a man of war:

Exodus 15:3 The Lord is a man of war: the Lord is his name.

Well, my wife grew up a Buddhist....they don't believe anything... so you can't really count them.

To be honest, I have never met Jesus. Jesus died in 32 AD, and basically that was it. Time Travel isn't possible, and I try not to judge people I have never met, so I cannot say that I hate Jesus. Also the one true religion is Shinto. Just putting that out there.

I am answering you because my family is of an Indian faith of non-violence, Jainism. I am afraid I am not a strong believer but I am knowledgeable about some things Asian, although my family has been living in UK for two generations. The people of my faith were treated as the most dreadful by Arya Samaj, a powerful Hindu group. We must have deserved it. Yes. I am blessed not to be there but being in the West I can write this.

A religion is not only what is written about it. A religion is also what people are doing in its name. The Hindu people are doing good things and evil things with regard to violence. Every religion is having extremes? The Hindu religion has most of its supporters backing the caste system which is making many blessed people the targets of malice and injustice. Violence is not only physical. Yes. Injustice and malice are the vicious ones in violence. Yes. Not extremists but a majority. Yes. So sad. So many admirable ideas in your link, in Rigveda, in Bhagavad-Gita, in the Bible. So much to be admired, so much violence in all. I am afraid I am offending you. Perhaps you are a genuine seeker of many truths? Yes. A blessed person similar to the sincere persons here. But I am losing my truths here. My roadmap is outdated, I am wishing I will see the actual road.

I voted against the Rcc, the apostle Paul says they are accursed for preaching another gospel of salvation by works. Here are some quotes from their very own official encyclopedia.




The Roman Catholic cult in their Catechism teaches that we can meritgrace necessary for salvation and that eternal life is attained by faith,baptism, and keeping the commandments.


1. CCC 2010,"...Moved by the Holy Spirit and by charity, we can then merit forourselves and for others the graces needed for our sanctification, for theincrease of grace and charity, and for the attainment of eternal life."


2. CCC 2027,"Moved by the Holy Spirit, we can merit for ourselves and for othersall the graces needed to attain eternal life, as well as necessary temporalgoods."


3. CCC 2068,"The Council of Trent teaches that the Ten Commandments are obligatoryfor Christians and that the justified man is still bound to keep them;28the Second Vatican Council confirms: "The bishops, successors of theapostles, receive from the Lord . . . the mission of teaching all peoples, andof preaching the Gospel to every creature, so that all men may attainsalvation through faith, Baptism and the observance of the Commandments."


This obviously faulty teaching in the CCC is hugely problematic since itcontradicts Scripture.


1. Rom.3:28-30, "For we maintain that a man is justifiedby faith apart from works of the Law. 29Or is God the God ofJews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30sinceindeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcisedthrough faith is one."

3. Rom.4:5, "But to the one who does not work, butbelieves in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned asrighteousness,"


4. Rom.5:1, "therefore having been justified by faith,we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ."


5. Rom.11:6, "But if it is by grace, it is no longeron the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace."


6. Gal.2:16, "nevertheless knowing that a man is notjustified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, evenwe have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ,and not by the works of the Law; since by the works of the Law shall no fleshbe justified."


We have to ask questions.


1. Why is the RCC teaching that you attainsalvation through observing the commandments when the Bible says we are savedapart from the works of the Law (Rom.3:28-30; 4:5;Gal.2:16)?


2. Why would the Roman Catholic Churchteach that you merit for yourself the grace needed for eternal life when thatclearly contradicts Rom 11:6?


There is a great deal wrong with what the RCC teaches. We mustlook to God's word and not to what the RCC says we must do to be saved. Our salvation is not merited by our keeping the commandments! The RomanCatholic Church needs to repent.
