I do not think women are stupid or dumb. It is just that they never say anything worthwhile.

Like discussing the relative compression ratio with a 14:1 static set of pistons in an engine with 289 Vs. 302 degrees of overlap. The effect the chamber has and how its' shape affects the flame front.
I do not need to know the details of a baked chicken. Just put it on my plate. Is that so hard?

In an effort to share in True Christian™ mens suffrage, I have created this support thread to deal with the dumb (or unChristian things) the women in our lives say or do. I'll share first:

At dinner the last night, out of the blue, Abigail looks right at me and proclaims:




As you can imagine, I was dumbfounded, shocked and downright hurt. I explained to her, lovingly, that I carefully chose her to rape, knowing she was the one for me. I didn't hide in the thorn bushes outside the Knoxville Baptist Womens Auxilery for hours without careful consideration. Abigail had refused my advances on more than one occasion so the rape bond was naturally the True Christian™ solution of making her mine...for life!!.

See, too many men rape women carelessly and end up in dysfunctional marriages - it's incredibly sad. Look at Hubert Dowry and his ex-wife; he had to lock her up in the basement as she constantly tried to leave. Why? He hated her, she hated him and both resented the rape bond (it was not well thought out). She eventually did leave after she was found hanging from her own tea towels. Sad that she is burning in hell, but Hubert seems to be a lot more happy these days knowing she won't be in heaven to pester him for eternity.


So I don't get where Abigail is coming from. We have two beautiful sons, I have provided (as long as she obeys and submits to my will Ephesians 5:22-33) and I even spent my hard earned money on this portable Menstra-hut so she doesn't have to spend her unclean time (Leviticus 15:19) in the back yard wood shack!!!

My dear, didn't you just introduce yourself as a "Christian"? As a Christian, there are no "if's" in regards to God's existence! And yes, He does tell us to hate people for what they are. God Himself hates plenty of people, as you would know if you truly were a Christian:

I must say, I could see a point being made if it were about Venetian blinds because, well, Venetian reminds me of Venice, which reminds me of Rome, which reminds me of the Roman Cathyolick "church", which reminds me of how we all know that the hates statue worshippers.

"Just" a Christian seems a funny way to understand what God has taught us in The Bible. No-one who's read God's Word ever questions its consistency: the matter is quite settled. I'm always happy to quote Scripture and in this case I'm dividing the text into two sections. The first section is a simple statement of fact, explaining what God is going to do. The second section is poetic; for example in verse 12d "[Who hath] weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?" is a poetic form where an idea is expressed in two similar ways for emphasis. Isaiah could have written ..weighed the mountains & hills in scales & balances, but that is not very poetic. For these rhetorical questions a poetic form was preferred.

ISAIAH 40
10a Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand …
11a He shall feed his flock like a shepherd
11b He shall gather the lambs with his arm
11c And carry them in his bosom
11d And shall gently lead those that are with young.

12a Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand

What has this to do with "just" a Christian? The blue section is a series of rhetorical questions contrasting the Creator's mind with that of any other person. By subdividing the verses you can see two clusters of inquiry, one geophysical, the other educational. In creating the universe, God obviously knew what ingredients He used and in what quantities. That's an impossible calculation for someone who's just human, for a start we can't even see everything! Again, say we could calculate the volume of the oceans, how would we ever know how much water there was in the heavens? It is a task beyond the limits of any human mind.

When this was written, assurances were given – listed in the first part of the text. They were future events. Not everyone at the time accepted that: fools said there was no God to promise anything; Zoroastrian philosophy considered itself deeper rooted; Phœnecians were gallivanting all over the place and as for the Etruscans whatever abomination they followed clearly displeased God because they don't exist any more. God's promise did come to pass however and regardless of those rejecting Him, for Christians the promise of a shepherd was fulfilled in Christ. To say that someone is "just" a Christian when the level of His understanding, power, judgement and knowledge have been set out so plainly (the blue section is one such passage) is to say that Jesus is "just" a Christ. That is not what we read in The Bible.
