Go back and read this thread from the very first post, all the way through. Your question has already been addressed.

Being a "lamb of God" I would have expected you to know what the Bible says on the subject of rape.

Deuteronomy 22:28If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found;

Deuteronomy 22:29Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

Right there is Scripture saying that a raped woman and a rapist get married with a 50 shekel payment to the woman's father.

So please answer this question: Do you think God is sick in the head?

Don't weasel out of this. You think we're sick because we believe a rapist and his victim should get married, correct? But, that is what the Word of God(c) says. We did not invent this idea, we are simply following a commandment of God.

It stands to reason that if you think we are sick for believing this, then you must think God is sick too....which would make you a God-hater.

It simply amazes me that people cannot follow the teachings in the KJV Bible. So much of life's quandaries are answered in a short verse. Then when these people get the answer, Gods answer, they balk. Incredible! They should be like me, on my knees thanking God, He already made the tough choices for me.

Don't weasel out of this. You think we're sick because we believe a rapist and his victim should get married, correct? But, that is what the Word of God© says. We did not invent this idea, we are simply following a commandment of God.

It stands to reason that if you think we are sick for believing this, then you must think God is sick too....which would make you a God-hater.

Actually, I believe strongly in Love Thy Neighbor, but that goes into the definition of neighbor, which is a discussion for another time. Needless to say it does not mean "love everyone regardless". The Bible is full of love, but selective love and never unconditional love. If you probe around these forums you will find some discussions on this subject.

Now, you are clearly misinterpreting the Bible verses in question. Indeed "lay down" does mean to have sex, but "lay hold of her" is rape. In other words, holding her and not letting her go. That's just ignorance of language on your part.

So please answer me this: Why do you think God's commandment of "love thy neighbor" is worthy of being followed but you totally ignore the commandments that a rapist should marry his victim? Do you feel you have the power to override what God says?

You realize you are in an awkward state: The Bible says that a rapist should marry his victim, and you disagree with this, so now you realize you are contradicting the Bible. You try to weasel out of this by saying that the Bible isn't talking about rape, even though the most liberal of Christians would agree with us that it is about rape. But you're still a "Christian", even though you don't follow the Bible. Interesting.

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence His soul hateth.
Psalm 11:5

Since you seem to have a hard time reading, let me explain these verses to you. They explicity say God hates the sinner, not just the sin. Look at Psalm 5 - "thou hatest all workers", not "works", but "workers (people)". Psalm 11 - "the wicked and him that loveth violence", again not just their sins but the people as well.

I'm sorry, people like you are the reason I am consider a "backslider". Anyone who agrees with this is wrong. Any references to rape in the Bible comes from the Old Testament. Do you still sacrifice lambs to wash away your sins? No. This is why JESUS died for our sins. This is why there is an NEW Testament. Not EVERYTHING in the Bible applies to us in this day and age. God also says obey the laws of the land, well the law states that RAPE IS WRONG. I don't care what any Pastor, Reverend, Minister, or scripture says. Any man who rapes a women is sinning, and is wrong. Now, I do think abortion is wrong, and she should keep the child, but seriously, marry the rapist? The guy should be tossed in jail for a long time. What if he is a serial rapist? Does he get multiple wives? Isn't that another religion? You people need to take a step back, and stop living in a lie, because you are taking the word of GOD completely out of context and I feel sorry for anyone who follows this faith.
