Rape is one of the most heinous crimes imaginable. Yet few people know that the Bible often condones and even approves of rape. How anyone can get their moral guidance from a book that allows rape escapes me. Perhaps they have been lied to about the Bible and carefully detoured around all the nasty stuff in the Bible.

Hello, friend. I have to admit, once I got saved and started reading my Bible, I was shocked by many of the things I read. Before I got saved, I shared your secular humanist opinion about the heinousness of rape, but once I learned the Lord's opinion on the matter, I cast my wrong opinions aside.

I never read your post, but going by the edit reason, I would guess it was deleted because you just plagiarized from the Skeptics Annotated Bible, Evil Bible, or some similar blasphemous resource, like we've never seen it before and expecting us to debunk it yet again, instead of doing your own work. I love my bible...including all the incest, rape, homosexuality and disgusting other things in it...because i love proving to all the perfect Christians out there that...the bible isn't a good book to live by!!

But isn't that exactly what you are doing? You said yourself that you don't like what the His holy word has to say because it contradicts your own ideas and feelings on certain matters, so you call it evil, and judge us evil for following it.

This woman was beaten, she was forced to comply, she was penetrated when she did not want to be and now she has an unwanted baby because some man decided that he wanted to have his way with her. This man deserves to be thrown in jail for a very long time, and this woman deserves the greatest sympathy. It is not her responsibility to save that baby.

Perhaps you think that the baby would life a fulfilling and wonderful life in an orphanage, wondering who his dad and mom were. I'm sure he will be so enthusiastic about his life when he figures out that he was unwanted by his mother and his father was a rapist.

On what grounds do you call this woman a whore? By the fact that her life was ruined and that she had nothing to say in the matter? Perhaps by the fact that women are men's property and we can do with them what we want? Perhaps you'll say maybe she should have dressed more properly.

I do not see how the Timothy quote is relevant to this situation. There is no mention of rape whatsoever in it. We follow the Word of God(r) and do not twist it around. As Brother Bobby-Joe posted a bit earlier, here is what God Himself has to say about rape...
