Re: Teddy bears, stuffed animals, plush toys....SEX TOYS FROM SAT

In the good book many things are up to interpretation, as are our decisions in parenting.

    However...
I don't recall the bible endorsing abusing your kid.

i merely wish to know your rational for such treatment to a child

We know, son. We already know.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes. -- Proverbs 13:24

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. -- Proverbs 22:15

Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die. Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell. -- Proverbs 23:13-14

Apparently you believe that God's plan for True Christian(tm) parenting is tantamount to child abuse.

Better take it up with Him, heathen.

I'm in some doubt. How fars does this go? What about sporting mascots like this?

Where do they come in on the Sin Scale?

I would venture very high, for they are bigger and stronger, and can actually overpower the child. This is why it is very important to never invite a sports mascot into the home.

I am also going to guess that those (indecently short) pants have an elasticized waist, for swift attack.

Ugghh. It gets worse and worse!

It is probably some offender on a police registry, and this is a way they've figured out to conceal their identity AND still be close to children.

First off, I would like to say that the unicorns in the Bible are not the same as children's toys. Children's toy/plush unicorns are the product of magical beliefs. They ARE NOT the same as the unicorn in biblical times.
The unicorns in Bible are believed by most theologians as the extinct giant rhino, elasmotherium. They were used in the Bible to display strength, through a visual aid. So, giving your daughter a unicorn wouldn't necessarily be a biblical lesson unless you told her that it signified strength through God. Also, if the unicorn that she was given was quite large I could understand her "riding it", for to her it would be like riding a small pony.
If your daughter is young, she wouldn't understand what that "fuzzy feeling" was. While, I completely agree with spanking her and getting rid of the unicorn, I wouldn't say that she was doing something intentionally wrong. For, how would she know any better? I would recommend sitting her down and explaining why she was spanked and why the unicorn was burned, for then she would understand that it wasn't riding the unicorn as a horse that was wrong, but that it was a completely different matter all together.

On the subject of Teddy Bears, they were named after Theodore Roosevelt, the president at the time they were invented. So, why would they be evil if they aren't used in an evil way? I am greatly confused.

Is this in the men's only section? I understand we are talking about things of that nature, but shouldn't we be talking about this subject, referring to Deacon Jeb's daughter, over there?

I'm really uncomfortable discussing this subject, but I agree with you wholeheartedly. He should definitely tell her what she did wrong in addition to the whipping and throwing away the toy for her sticking it into her, er um...

She didn't do anything intentionally wrong. It was simple foolishness on her part, and the Bible tells us how to deal with the foolishness of children:

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. - Proverbs 22:15

A fool's lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes. - Proverbs 18:6

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the fool's back. - Proverbs 26:3

Judgments are prepared for scorners, and stripes for the back of fools. - Proverbs 19:29

Note the last one: when you hit them with the rod, you need to do it hard enough to leave visible marks.

I do have a question for you,"heathen basher" I am wondering if you really read what I wrote. I wasn't condemning anyone, nor was I saying anything that was not true. I was giving advice. It is true that the belief in unicorns today is purely magical. All the big time media corporations take only the mythical side of the unicorn, not the biblical side. I am not liberal nor take any part in the left wing of politics. I am a republican. The father did what he saw fit for the child, and I completely respect that. The majority of what I said was for the people who were condemning him. The people that posted that spanking is wrong for instance. Apparently they haven't read the majority of the Bible. I personally was spanked as a child, and it did me good. If my parents had only sat me down and tried to talk to me as an adult, I would have never learned from my mistakes. I most likely would have just blown them off.
