Okay, I have read this whole post, start to finish.

This is simply ridiculous.
I am 14, so you guys probably won't listen to me, and call me foolish, like I have no opinion (or I can spell, like a good number of you in this forum) but I do have an opinion, which grows when a child is young.

I believe in God. I always have. No doubt about it. I am baptized. I go to Church, whenever I can. (I am sad to say that I am anemic.) It simply fascinates me, learning about God and Heaven above. I read the Bible when I was younger, mind you that I didn't fully understand the words, seeing as I was 7 at the time.
But I like Harry Potter. I have always. I am not a sinner. I KNOW that it is not real. It is just a way to escape from your problems, in a way.
Seriously, I was made fun of at school before I went into self-teaching Home-schooling (yes, I teach myself everything.). During that time of my trouble, I read Harry Potter. It was unlike anything I have ever read before, in a good way. It is FANTASY. Not real life. It will never be real life. The only thing close to magic that we will get is the power of God and words and other wonderful things that life has to offer!
I don't want to fight, really. I hate fighting. But Harry Potter has done nothing wrong to me. I haven't had a boyfriend, or kissed anyone yet. And I would like to save myself. I am not a Harlot at all.
Yet, this generation is forced into knowing about sex because of the way it is. (I blame Ke$ha, personally.) Their is no way to escape it. If their was, then we all would not be born.
I don't want to be called a sinner, because I am not. I pray every night. I hardly go out. I would like to call myself a good girl. Heck, a wild night for me is writing stories.

Harry Potter is about love, and conquering evil. And yes, Harry Potter gives me feelings. Feelings of excitement and anticipation. In fact, J.K Rowling herself IS a believer in God. She may not be apart of your Church, but she does believe in the savior.

And people don't like having religion forced on them, just saying....

It will never be real life.

The character HP is fictional of course, and the adventures are a made up story. But many such characters are used as a gateway to introduce new ideas (in education, for instance).

One example would be the advent of "the novel" - a type of fiction which became very popular with women in the 1800's and in which "issues" were presented leading to the feminist movement, female equality (in a legal sense - The Bible is quite clear that women are inferior) and equal "rights" in employment not only for women, whether they could do the job or not, but for other similarly incompetent and ineducable groups.

The fictional issue was not real because the story was not real BUT the damage was done: readers went looking for a "real" version of that issue in the real world. They found inequalities, or thought they did, and the catastrophe which followed blights us to this day!

When fictional characters engage in witchcraft, the episode described is not real. That does not mean that witchcraft is not real however, any more toadstools are not real just because Big-Ears (a fictional character) lived in one, in some story.

Children who read HP start looking for occult activities in the reality they encounter from day to day AND THEY FIND THEM. The consequences of practising actual spells in the real world are so terrible that God..

Yes they are. The word is spelled out in her hair. The highlighted 1st picture just shows you where to look (in the 2nd picture). It is particularly clear in the smoke oozing out of that man without a nose. The 1st picture shows you where to look and in the 2nd picture it is just sooooooooooooooooooooo obvious. He is revolting.
