Way to take it out of context. Luke 6 is a repeat of Matthew 7.

Keep reading in Luke 6. It is a commandment against hypocritical judgment.

You however do not read the Bible, and do not believe it is accurate. Yes?

You probably think it has been mistranslated, or that people wrote wrong things. Right?

Therefore, you believe that the all-powerful, all-knowing Creator of the universe either cannot or won't bother to make sure that His Word, the Holy Bible, accurately reflects what we as humans must do to achieve Salvation.

You think that God doesn't care whether we go to Hell or not, since He can't be bothered to make sure we know what He wants of us.

You don't seem to have answered anyone's questions. The only place you can learn about what you've written is in The Bible, but you say you aren't basing your world view on "what a book says" - - - so what ARE you basing it on?

Why don't you use the concepts presented in "The God Delusion", for example, leave out the bits you don't like (e.g. the atheism) POOF! a whole new, original belief system. Just as valid as the one you described (i.e. not valid) and you can attribute it to Mr. Dawkins, who wouldn't acknowledge you because you'd have misrepresented him: neither does God acknowledge you, because you're misrepresenting Him.

Do you know how utterly absurd you sound?
I've read through the comments you have written and many of you claim to have read the entire bible.
Have you also read through the parts where it prohibits round haircuts, tattoos, wearing garments of a mixed fabric, eating pork or shellfish or playing with the skin of a pig (there goes football!).
If anyone of you would care to read through the entire bible, again for some of you, and list all of the rules that are written down, see just how many you actually follow and then dare to call yourself a true christian.

As for your "subliminal" messages, I imagine this community could find sex or satan on a blank piece of paper. The fact is that Harry Potter is a work of fiction, if you read the book properly, you will discover that Harry Potter is 17 and is the youngest out of his friends, Ron and Hermione, and it is only in the final book that Ron and Hermione kiss, towards the end of the school year, suggesting that they are both of age. Also, in the final chapter, titled "19 years later" all couples are married and have young children, suggesting there was no premarital sex.

Please don't attack a piece of FICTION merely because you feel the need to attack something. I can understand dislike towards a religion such as Satanism due to the fact they are directly attacking your religion.

Also, please bear in mind that we no longer live in the dark ages and society has moved on and a lot of things are deemed acceptable. If you would care to join me in 2011, I would welcome you with open arms and will even throw you a lovely party with non alcoholic champagne and sausage rolls.

Please don't misunderstand me, I have attended church all my life and I do believe in God, however, you do have to bear in mind that the bible was written at least 2000 years ago and we have moved on a long way since then.

The point I was making was that after reading through your comments many of you claim to be true Christians yet there are many parts of the bible that many of you will have overlooked parts, as they don't fit in with your opinion, and I don't doubt that I do the same.

Have you ever stopped to think that everything that is wrong with society is the result of abandoning the teachings of the Bible (The King James version).

Any True Christian™ HAS read the KJV1611 cover to cover and we follow the Bible to the letter, as it is commanded.

Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Yes there are troubles with society, but open your eyes and look at the wonderful things we have accomplished, man had made the internet, on which you and I are having this debate, man has made the car, which I don't doubt that many of you drive, due to mans curiosity there have been many advancements in medicine and should you be in dire need of it I highly doubt you would refuse medical treatment because it wasn't God who was your doctor, the list goes on.

And I'm not being a hypocrite, I have never claimed to be a true christian, I believe in God and morality and follow the ten commandments, which I believe to be a good way to live my life.
