Re: Caught my son masturbating, what should I do?

@Brother Alex, Did you beat the skin off your disgraceful Son for fornicating with the Devil? You should bash his skull in until he truly knows the fear of God in his heart. If he continues this work of the Devil, cut his penis and testicles off and display them in your front yard as proof you will stand for no lunacy against God. You are the only man of your family who can strike Gods wrath into his hide. Bash him until he begs for your mercy and Gods. The scars on his body will remind him for the rest of his life that his father is merciless to those who dare challenge his beliefs... When you done and your knuckles are covered with his blood, take a good look in the mirror and tell me if you like your reflection. Then ask yourself if your son would flee from you and his childhood home if he had ability too, would he? Answer honestly, God is watching you. Or maybe you could just take this approach ... *** child porn link deleted ***

    GLORY!

Where would we be today if Abraham had hesitated when placing his dear child, Isaac, upon the altar to slit wide open his delicate throat and roast his body unto the LORD as a pleasing aroma (Genesis 22:1-18) because some pansy members of society might think it's mean?

It is a burnt offering unto the LORD:
    it is a sweet savour,
an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
    Exodus 29:18

What would they say about Christian parents who follow the Christian faith as laid out in the Christian Holy Bible, and raise their children to be good, moral, upstanding Christian citizens?

Please, do let us know what they say.

You lost me right there. You mean our omnipotent and all-knowing God somehow forgot to make the Bible equally readable for all people of all times?

Therefore, we must understand that there are passages in the bible which should be interpreted into a more modern understanding,
Not according to the Bible, sweetie:

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

and some passages which no longer hold any value at all.
    Not according to :

    Matthew 5:17-18
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

For example, Exodus 21: 20-21 reads: “When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money."
Of course we no longer practice slavery
Oh, really? Try to tell that to the millions of people who are enslaved today. Their masters may not be happy with these fancy ideas of yours, though.

Not to mention, that even in the Godly US the idea of slavery is not dead, as Nevada lawmaker says he’d vote for slavery if his constituents wanted him to. (That plus these 60,000 slaves in the US mentioned in the first link).

and the vast population finds it's practice immoral.
That does not mean that finds it immoral, does it?

God, in fact, gives detailed rules how to treat slaves (e.g. Leviticus 25:44-46).

My point is that we must remember the way the world was back when the bible was written and not take each passage literally.
No. See the first verse I've quoted.

'm curious why this site claims every new member is "unsaved trash." How does anybody on this site know who is and isn't saved?
You need to pass a careful inspection by one of our Senior pastors. It may hurt a little.

Calling us trash suggests a sense of worthlessness. Not very Christ-like, wouldn't you agree?
No. Jesus Himself used mean words, frequently calling people "vipers" and "fools".

Friemd, all queers and catlicks would like to beleive what you say. It certainly would let you people 'skirt' the truths.
God had the Bible written. God is with us every day. Don't you think he'd 'update' the Bible if He felt it was out of touch with todays fast paced times? Or are we all living in Sodom and Gomorrah, on borrowed time until He has had enough of people like you and your sinful ways when He finally comes down and strikes with great vengeance.
Deuteronomy 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Romans 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
Revelation 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Nothing God tells us to do is 'immoral' How dare you try to mirror His Word to make you feel better about being a filthy pervert. People like you are disgusting!

P.S. I didn't say "weak" you did. So there was no need to add quotation marks. But hey, thanks for adding another adjective to your lame point.

I guess my "weak" point was too strong for you to counter at all.

But that's OK, because anything means anything you want it to, doesn't it?

Except, then nothing means anything, and communication and language are pointless.

Point is, words have meanings (even the ones in the Bible) and your not liking what they say won't change that one little bit.
