So if a girl is in a field and raped it's wrong, but if she's in a home and raped then it's ok? Rape means non-consentual intercourse. If a girl doesn't consent, it's rape. It's a violent crime and furthermore, punished by god.

What are you talking about? Rape is always wrong and, outside of a few select instances where the Lord uses it as punishment (Numbers 31:15-18, to start) or as a viable form of home security (Genesis 19:4-8, Nahum 3:5-6 and Judges 19:22-30) and , it should never be condoned.

This is because an unmarried girl's ladybits are practically a portal into Hell, and fornication with vile temptresses who would get themselves raped greatly increases the chances for the poor man to never find Salvation(c).

Funny, I received an infraction because I didn't show you in the bible where you are wrong. Very well:

Yes and if she is a virgin, he must marry her, pay her father and never divorce her. I know that part well.

It's obvious that there are times when it is condoned too.

I think the take away from this is that, according to the Bible, rape is not illegal if God commands it.

A girl is raped in a field and god punishes the rapist because of his actions. Wicked actions, furthermore the bible states "Though the wicked may succeed, their end is destruction". Clearly, your god does not condone rape.

You are missing the point of Deut. 22. It's the Pottery Barn rule. The woman was betrothed to her fiancee. The rapist stole from her fiancee, therefore he must die. If a man rapes the young girl, he had robbed from her father. He must then pay for what he broke and never get rid of it. He must display it in his living room for the rest of his life.

Woman are considered property in the Bible. A man can also sell his daughter.

The fact that you are actually promoting the rape of daughters is absolutely ridiculous. Apparently the bible doesn't allow for change in society? Rape may have been accepted back then (though I highly doubt it), but taking something that happened 2000 years ago and applying it to modern day living is atrocious. You obviously have little to no capacity for logical thought.

What was true 2000 years ago is still true today. Fire is hot, ice is cold, the sun rises and sets every day, and disobeying the WORD of GOD will result in burning forever in Hell fire. This goes on whether you highly doubt it or not, this is the really real world.

Am I to take it that you would also promote another Crusade? The ignorance of the people in this forum, and all of these forums is frightening.

Houndstooth, I can't speak for Landover Baptist, as I am just a neophyte Bible student and an abomination before Christ (though less of an abomination than you). However, I believe that a Crusade is just what we need. Of course, we already have a mini-Crusade going on in Afghanistan, but it's not nearly enough. We need to elect Replublicans in office, reinstitute the draft, and get back to God's Holy Work.

We are not promoting rape here, just highlighting a few instances where the Bible makes clear that offering up daughters for rape is a preferable alternative to unruly mobs hurting guests in your house. Did you bother to look up the scriptural citations I gave you? Let me repost a few for you.

In fact, Lot (the man in Genesis 19) is even explicitly referred to as a righteous man.

"And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; )" 2 Peter 2:7-8

So from this we can conclude that God, at least, puts more value on being a good host than a daughter's cooter. With any luck in the next election, maybe we can get secular law to agree this should be the case.

A woman who desperately wanted to be a grandmother was arrested after allegedly arranging for her daughter to be raped.

The 51-year-old South African mother has appeared in court after being accused of employing a local man to carry out the attack in the hope that her 24-year-old daughter would conceive.

Both the woman and the alleged attacker were arrested when the victim reported the plot to police after she was raped on Sunday near her home in South Africa's Limpopo province.

A police spokesman today said investigating officers had been sickened by the alleged scheme.

He said: 'This young woman was raped and it appears her attacker had been set up to commit the crime by her own mother.

'She was desperate to be a grandmother but her daughter was not showing any signs of wanting a baby.

'That is when she decided to arrange for a man to make her pregnant against her wishes.

'The attack happened on Sunday. The mother and the rapist were arrested the same day.'

The woman, who cannot be named to protect the identity of her daughter, appeared before magistrates yesterday to face a charge of being an accomplice to a rape.

She stood in the dock alongside Finus Fetnadi, 33, the man accused of committing the attack.

Police said they believed the mother had enquired within the community to find a man willing to commit the crime.

It is not known whether she offered a financial reward to the man but police believe she identified her daughter as the intended victim.

She then allegedly ordered Fetnadi not to use a condom during the assault, which happened at the village of River Cross near Burgersfort, around 250 miles north east of Johannesburg.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohale Ramatseba said the incident had devastated the woman's daughter and community.

He added: 'The poor girl must now wait to see if she has conceived a child as a result of the attack.

'Meanwhile she knows her own mother was responsible.

'Those who known them in the village can hardly believe what has happened.' The two suspects were yesterday remanded in custody.
