I'm not going to lie, a lot of guys prefer to use women for sex but I'm not like that. I think this comment seems a bit sexist and maybe even insensitive to guys like me. Well, you are correct that women shouldn't be getting any pleasure from sex. The only thing a woman should be feeling during sex is a grim satisfaction she is doing the Lord's work and is preparing to bare another soldier for Jesus. So men can get all the pleasure they like, yet woman just have to suffer? Well that is where we fundamentally disagree, and why if I was to ever become a Christian I would stay well clear of extremist churches like this. I thought the whole Christian view was that "Sex is for reproduction, not pleasure", yet I think it is safe to say that men enjoy ANY kind of sex very much. Women, on the otherhand, need to feel safe, secure and loved.

I don't agree that men should have total control of all women's bodies, as that is essentially saying they can rape whomever they like. Men are not in control of women's bodies, that is a disgusting thought, and seems more the kind of thing out of pornography than decent christian values. And why, you ask, does the bible state these things? Because men love sex and power, and they will try to justify it in any way possible - "Ladies, have sex with your husband whenever he asks, no matter how much you don't want to, it is your duty. Oh and have sex with my friend because the bible says so.".
Following scriptures like these are dangerous and lead to many women living incredibly miserable lives, while the man is happily asserting his power over everyone.

Hmm so your bible claims God condones rape, incest, paedophilia, extra-maritial sex, public sex... it seems that the only type of sex it doesn't condone is sex which is in any way enjoyable to females.

What kind of messed up God is that obsessed with sex? Not only sex, but rough, violent sex. Forcing somebody to have sex with somebodys wife just to upset the husband is not using sex for reproductive purposes, it's using it as a weapon.

I think you people really need to understand that the people who wrote the Bible wrote about and condoned such horrid things because rape, stoning of women etc were accepted in that time, before Christianity even began. The Bible also tells you not to wear clothing made of material of more than one type - do you do that?
Moreover, how can we trust the people who wrote the Bible to really be spreading God's word? Perhaps the devil pretended to be God and told them to write these things, and now he's enjoying seeing women be raped and the men get away with it.

It's not only sex. The God in the Bible also condones murder of innocent babies, murder of children for calling somebody bald, mass murder... basically every kind of murder is encouraged. How can this not be evil to you?

It seems more probable to me that these passages were written by the devil himself.
