I have gay friends who are also religious. (although they struggle, they find comfort in the ambiguity of some of the words of the bible, which can be interpreted to almost suit any angle you wish, as you guys have proved!)

there's a lot going on in the U.k right now about the church and gay marriage! as gay people are getting more and more rights,,now lets get this straight (no pun intended haa) I am not homosexual, and im not here to judge if there behavior is right or wrong, but the church as a whole is having complicated debates amongst its HIGHEST members now as to this very subject!

There are no "ambiguities" in the Bible. If you feel there are, post specific examples: book, chapter, verse.

Why on earth would anyone who is a homosexual be Christian? God abhors homosexuals, so it's not like they're going to avoid an eternity of Hell just for feeling affection towards the LORD. Jesus hates queer people hitting on Him.

Well here's the answer - they water down the words of the Bible until it reads like a love story to them. Here's the fact, it's NOT. God does NOT love homosexuals. He will NOT tolerate their perverted, deviant ways in Heaven, even if He is patient with you on earth.

At least you admit that you think you know better than God does. Also, I wasn't aware that the Bible came with periodical supplements, as books of secular statutes do. Perhaps you can tell us where those supplements can be found, so that we can read them for ourselves and become enlightened like you.

For the second option, I have no idea why it is that way, but it is what it is, despite many people's best efforts to deny or "interpret" its message. For the first option, read it for yourself and find out. Start here. Then, when you try to discuss the Bible and Christianity with others, you won't come across as quite so much of a clueless twit.

yet again the homosexual thing is pounced upon, I personally am aware that it is a contradiction to believe in your God and be a practicing homosexual. But surely it is upon God to judge, not us. Aslong as you live your life as you see correct and spread the 'love' (not hate) of Jesus upon the world, then surely that person would be seen as more moral. Love thy neighbor, not judge thy neighbor and only love him if he's not a homosexual.

Yes your God sees it as an abomination but theres a long long list of things you shouldnt do but im sure most of us are guilty of one or more of them 'take the lords name in vein' , and now there are LOTS & LOTS of Christians out there that have have sex before marriage...there are so many ways to sin, but im not sure most chritians are going to hell forever and remember you cant take back loosing your virginity so once you've done it you may never turn back, unlike being gay, as you would say 'pray the gay away' , so they are lost and eternally dammed if they have sex before marriage..these are only 2 of an enormous amount of sins, and like i say its likely we have committed some of them.

Of course we sinned before becoming saved, but one of the wonderful things about God's saving power is that now that we are saved, we no longer sin:

But surely it is upon God to judge, not us.

We can judge when God tells us to judge: Leviticus 19:15 "In righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour."

You have to follow God's rules for 100%. Everything else is pointless. James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

I fail to see why anyone would have sex without marriage. Sex is a horrible act we have to endure once for every child we make for Jesus.

Sinning is not the problem. Just as long as you stop sinning and beg Jesus for forgiveness before you die. So every gay is still a potential decent Christian, even though they spit into Jesus' face with each and every breath they take.
