    Women eh??

Aren't women funny little creatures. I can never work them out. Take my wife for example, she is so pleased by the simplest things!

Now, I've seen advertisements on the TV where ladies are having the most jolly time just washing their hair, smiling and laughing.

My wife does the same, she had a favourite bottle of shampoo that she insists on buying, no other one will do.

I'm sat here giggling to myself now listening to her in the next room, she's sat in the bath washing her hair. I can hear her giggling and moaning in there, it's been going of for about 20 minutes. it's very funny.

Silly, silly creatures, I'll never understand them. Who would think that such a simple thing as this could bring her so much pleasure?

Good grief, that's obscene...can't she just use bar soap to wash her hair?

    So extravagant.

I insist that such extravagances (shampoo, tampons etc) come out of the money that is alloted for her food. When she buys tampons etc she would normally miss a meal or two and go hungry or hope for some of my leftovers. There are never any leftovers.

Twenty minutes, you say? I sure hope she got caught up on her housekeeping before she went in there. Why would it take so long? Maybe you should supervise to make sure she's using her time wisely.

Yes, we gals do enjoy the simplest things. Even though God doesn't want us to have fancy hairdos (1 Timothy 2:9), I can still spend up to an hour to achieve the plainest style. It gives me something to do while my husband is leading the men's prayer circle, and while it's my duty as a Christian wife to maintain a home for him, the staff don't need that much supervision.
1 Cor. 11:8-9: For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.

My pastor told me that it is good to enjoy and appreciate small things, as it is humble, I believe Sir your wife is truly a good Christian woman and I want to learn from her. And you too, Mrs. Isaac Peters, I hope I can learn from you as well.

James 4:10 - Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

It is true, though. I also take pleasure in little things such as that. Though we employ a young nigress to clean the house, I still insist on the kitchen as my domain. Nothing gives me more pleasure than baking a pie for my husband or spending an extra minute or two washing my hair.

Couldn't agree with you more, sir. Their materialistic worldly view is just sickening.

If I ever have a wife I'll make my wife put up a tent in a rain forest and do an hour sentry every night at 2am. I will get her to survive with twigs and wild berries for 2 weeks every month. Just so she appreciate the little things in life.
Job 38:11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.

I'm sorry if I am speaking out of turn, but while it is wrong to be materialistic, it also goes against the Word of God for women to do men's army work... The role of women is to serve the home and to be a virtuous wife.

Titus 2:5 - [Women's role is to be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

I took some time to examine shampoos: in particular "Head and Shoulders". Unsurprisingly, I found this:

Wasn’t it Jesus who said, "Frailty, thy name is woman."? It seems that women are deluded into thinking that there is more than one type of hair: that’s why they need men to put them right.

I will never forget when Sister Daisy and I used this together:

Daisy, remember how we spent hours enjoying the silky feeling it gave us? It was pure rapture. I was surprised that I had to go to Des Moines to get it. Not a single shop in Freehold has it on display, but I'm told several of the ladies have it. Dr. Niles, I think this would be good for your nephew's hard-to-handle mane.

My husband is very firm about what I may use for my hair and not. He finds the least-expensive shampoo at the godly Walmart, and buys that. He is so kind though, to let me pick the scent; what a wonderful man I have as a husband! I spend as little time as possible in the shower; imagine me in a state of little clothing when the Lord comes! "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." Matthew 24:42
