Can I say how jealous I am of Alabama cutting all this red tape for churches?

Lawmakers on Tuesday voted 24-4 to allow Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham to establish a law enforcement department.

The church says it needs its own police officers to keep its school as well as its more than 4,000 person congregation safe.

Critics of the bill argue that a police department that reports to church officials could be used to cover up crimes.

The state has given a few private universities the authority to have a police force, but never a church or non-school entity.

Police experts have said such a police department would be unprecedented in the U.S.

A similar bill is also scheduled to be debated in the House on Tuesday.

Now, this is the way it's done. And all those years we have spent keeping Des Moines off our backs with the whole City Hall and City Council sham as a facade for the church to run the town.

If we could have formed our own police force first, I am sure that is the first thing we would have done to keep our congregation and school safe.



But what if the Muslims get similar ideas? What if the Satanists did the same? It's horrible to think of from that perspective.

My church works around this by having dogs and handlers because of our school. That way, our handlers are all armed with attack dogs, and as long as it happens on private property (it all is private property) what happens in our community stays within it, where we are judged not by secular law, but by the Bible.

You cannot use the holy book of a religion to defend the logical basis of the religion's validity (that's like me saying: Captain underpants is real because it talked about how there would be people like you who who don't believe in him). What kind of scam would not demonize the people that were aware and are against the scam? By the way, they're not "church police" they're regular police officers stationed in churches. I am not sure what the fuss is all about. The Landover PD has several hundred personnel at the LBC Chrystal Cathedral every Sunday, with a uniformed officer stationed at every pew watching the collection plate, undercover operatives intermingled amongst the tin tithers and a few special ops men in the men's room. As a sign of respect for the delicacies of the ladies, no one is stationed in the 'female facilities' and it is only watched with video surveillance (copies of the DVD's to verify use are available in the Church office for a nominal fee).
I think having a 'Church Force' should be unneeded and the fact that a God fearing state such as Alabama must resort to such efforts is a sign the demoncrats, Clinton and Obama still have their pudgy fingers in the pie. Has anyone heard from Victory OS?

Jesus wants us to be ready for Him. He teaches me here to provide my own oil. I can't expect Jesus to bring some with Him! But without oil in my lamp how can I light up for Him when He gets here? Jesus would be so disappointed, just like that bridegroom. So disappointed that even though He'd invited me, when He saw that I had no oil, it would be like He'd never even met me. How devastating would that be for Jesus?

The Bible encourages us to be vigilant for a reason. God explains:
