According to Newsweek, "A Tennessee pastor who publicly confessed to having a “sexual incident” with a high school student in 1998 received a thunderous standing applause when he asked to be forgiven." According to Jules Woodson, the woman he "incidented" with, modern day megachurch pastor Andy Savage was once a victim of temptation,
Woodson told her pastor at Woodlands Parkway Baptist Church, where Savage was a Teaching Minister, and the church took care of it in God's Way. We don't know what happened behind the scenes, all we know is that after Woodson blabbed about her escapades to a bible study group, Savage was treated to a warm reception and left with his church's blessings to pursue the next goals God would set up for him.
Recently Savage, currently the teaching pastor of Highpoint MegaChurch in Memphis, Tennessee admitted to "incidenting" with Woodson and his congregation replied with the kind of compassion one has come to expect from the American Bible-Believing Church towards a preacher who confesses sexual inappropriateness: Immediate Forgiveness and Applause. Savage received a standing ovation for his confession and his apology to the congregation.
Upon prayerful reflection, I believe the Holy Spirit is leading a Grand Revival by taking back the #MeToo movement! If you think about it, the Rainbow kind of marks the original #MeToo movement. Although the LORD didn't exactly apologize or ask for forgiveness for the whole killing-almost-every-living-creature thing back in Noah's Day, we do love and celebrate a Clean Slate!
Suddenly, Andy unzipped his jeans and pulled out his penis. He asked me to suck it. I was scared and embarrassed, but I did it. I remember feeling that this must mean that Andy loved me. He then asked me to unbutton my shirt. I did. He started touching me over my bra and then lifted my bra up and began touching my breasts.

#MeToo - I deserve a standing ovation because I was once a victim -- of Sin!
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I have a confession to make. Before I was Saved, I told my best friend in Jr. High that her boyfriend was gay. It turns out he is, but I couldn't have known that at the time and anyway that isn't the point. She was so upset to hear my convincing report that I comforted her and we got drunk on my aunt's schapps while watching MTv late into the night. She was so hungover the next day that I called her boyfriend and met up with him at the arcade and we ended up having oral sex behind the dumpsters because I had a mad crush on him at the time. They broke up the next day and my now ex-best friend became anorexic and eventually was sent to the mental health facilities in the city because she had a nervous breakdown. Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I apologize to you for this past sin that victimized me when I was young and foolish and impetuous and selfish. #MeToo. I want my standing ovation because I was once a victim of Sin, and now I present unto you a Clean Slate!
