SUV's Christ-Message of Hope and Joy

    "Lord love a duck"

When are these false "Christians" going to stop saying this? What could the Good Lord™ possibly love about a be-feathered, quacking, obscenely waddling duck?

I, for one, am at the limits of my Patience over this.

There is nothing remotely loveable about a duck, save when served with orange sauce. I have looked into the archives at Landover and in the Idioms and Neologisms section I found the following reference:
In the year of Our Lord 1734 (123 after KJV) one, Abelard Moncrieff of Landover, had just stopped chastising a slave as he has forgotten the reason he started. His wife emerged from the house and, noticing that with his exertions, her husband’s pantaloons were about his ankles, called to him, “’Lard! Cover up!”

The phrase then entered the language through the untutored ear of the uneducated slave and became common parlance as an expression for anything that was unusual or startled or exasperated the public and, over the years, became corrupted to “Lord! Love a duck!”

I too feel that time should be called on Brother Abelard’s embarrassment, which followed him to the grave and beyond,

I agree. In this joyous season, let us put Brother Abelard behind us.

Bless you Boys for your Godly responses!

However, there seem to be a lack of them in General. I Fear this is because the un$avED prowl our boards even on Christmas Day
and wouldn't be Aglow with our Pure Christian Joy were they Nailed to a Cross, Crucified
